- Lord Visrain of Southern Boll passes during the post hatching feast celebration of Elaruth and Bijedth's clutch. His son, Jivrain, demands an immediate return to Southern Boll, presumably to claim Holdership.

- Storeskeeper Avaryk is escorted out of Southern Boll after being discovered dressed as a guard, and is warned not to return to the Hold.

- Lord Jivrain is confirmed as Lord Holder of Southern Boll. Fort Weyr is ejected from the gather celebrations after Avaryk's identity is revealed.

- Boll's tithe train arrives with missing goods, and the guards are taken into custody.

- High Reaches Weyrleader K'del makes a deal with Southern Boll Lord Jivrain to provide them with rider services. Shortly after, Boll's tithe train guards are released... to High Reaches riders, at the request of Lord Jivrain. All of Fort's rider duties over Southern Boll are reassigned by Weyrleader N'muir.

- Junior Weyrwoman Ali leaves the Weyr, after reportedly arguing with Weyrleader N'muir. She makes a deal with High Reaches' K'del for Fort's support at Weyr Council, without the knowledge of the Weyrleaders.

- Ali returns to the Weyr, coincidentally as news from Harper Hall announces the long-running negotiations between Southern Boll and Fort Weyr have finally proved fruitful, with Boll agreeing to tithe to Fort Weyr again. N'muir doesn't commit to support High Reaches at Council.
