Sunkissed Dawn Egg
The subtle, shadowed curves of white feather wings can be traced along one end this egg's shell. They spread wide as if outstretched to take flight, the slender primaries separated a bit by smudges of gray-blue of some imagined sky at dawn. As the white and gray shadows fade, soft pink flows like a woman's dress caught by a stiff breeze, the color glowing as if kissed by the sun coming up over the horizon. A single swath of redgold ribbons above the pink, swirling about a golden peach shape that resembles a face. Taken all together, this egg might be said to resemble an angel of dawn transformed from cold gray stone by the birth of the sun.
'Inspiration: Inspired by a Customizable Card RPG called Magic the Gathering. The card is Divine Transformation and the artist is NeNe Thomas.
Flakes of shell fall faster off the Sunkissed Dawn Angel Egg in a veritable blizzard of fragments. Finally, with one last effort, the whole thing disintegrates, leaving a very puzzled Windswept Shoreline Brown Dragonet in its place.
Windswept Shoreline Brown Hatchling
Tendrils of pale cream mix with darker shades of dune-swept sand as they march relentlessly over the chest of this compact brown. His frame is neat and spare, leaving little softness to pad it. Glitters of mica mingle with taupe as the dune washes over his head and down his ridges, highlighting the taut musculature of his neck. As the well-groomed shore reaches wingspars, it encounters turbulence - a wealth of darker, wet sienna clumps upwards along his sinewy wingspars and trails out into darker loam on fragile sails, streaks where the tide has soaked into the beach. The sea continues to wash further back along his wiry withers, tossing up storms of brown kelp so intense as to be maroon in some lights before curling down into the ash of the sandy sea bottom. This irregular tide line froths down a long tail into mahogany oblivion.
Public Impression Message
At times, the hide of the Windswept Shoreline Brown Dragonet is nearly invisible against the sand. This is one of those times. The compact dragon seems to almost disappear from view, moving stealthily towards a small group of candidates. When he 'reappears' before a tall girl with mousey brown hair which compliments his hide, his choice of Pellia is obvious.
