Several Candidates gasp as a crack appears in the Golden Ripples Egg. The crack widens and a small, wedge shaped head pokes through. As the shell suddenly shatters, the body of the young dragon emerges, its body glistening with the remnants of egg fluid.
Prismatic Gold Hatchling
With a spray of sharply etched, pale saffron rays emblazoned across her shoulders, this light, golden dragonet is a visual contrast of both brash and meek hues. Her muzzle is the shade of smooth, buttery cream, slowly dripping into near ochre-orange stains across her breast and flanks. Legs and belly are dark like the mines that must have yielded the vivid metallic pigments that color her hips and tail. In flecks of apparent bronze or brown playing over these extremities, her shifting hide deceives the eye with every move. Perfectly shaped tail and wings offer almost at once a rainbow of hues which meld together into a smooth, clouded sheen of flaxen gild like the finest crystalline amber. Her appearance is completed by the whitish, misty hues of hazy lines which mingle amongst the more vivid pigmentation.
Public Impression Message
Prismatic Gold Hatchling carefully steps around a cluster of rather frightened candidates who huddle closer as she passes. Her muzzle pokes between two girls then back out again. There is a pause as the gold recollects tail and wings into a sembelance of order. Moving much slower as the female candidates get thicker, finally her steps bring her to a complete standstill in front of Leah who attracts her attention completely.
