| It didn't take long for rumors to reach the barracks that one of 'their own' (albeit an unImpressed one) had been sent away to the mines. Tongue will wag that maybe Fort's newest goldrider was a little too attached to Szarit, or could it be something else? A guilty conscience? Either way, her reaction to the news was a hysterical outburst in the living cavern where she was having lunch with a couple of other weyrlings. Accounts will say that no small show of temper fuelled her trip across the bowl toward the Weyrleaders' Complex and only Taeliyth planting herself in her rider's path and a shouting match ended with dragonhealers ushering the pair to the infirmary while Eliyaveith did her part to try to sooth and contain her daughter's obvious distress. Some relationships between dragon and rider have been said to be intense; have any ever been said to be broken? Whispers from the infirmary aids say there was a mindhealer involved in Dee's overnight stay in the dragon infirmary. She's avoided her fellow weyrlings since returning, choosing to spend what little free time she has as far from the barracks as she can manage... and just as far from Taeliyth, too. |
