| Rarely seen, Edric's presence among the lower caverns staff - and the Headwoman's - is an intense and pervasive one. What is known of him is limited: he is a Steward from Black Cliff Hold. He spends three or four days at the Weyr and returns to the Hold for the same sum of days. He is ostensibly on friendly terms with X'vin. More importantly: he has been hired to assist in cleaning up the financial and inventory records for the next six months. He is not satisfied by what he has found. On day 4, month 7, of Turn 38 - one month to the day after his hiring - Edric will pull in his own crew of inventory-takers to take a full audit of the stores. The move only lends further weight to the idea that all of the Weyr's stores-workers will be replaced, despite Erinta's reassurances otherwise. The stores will be in lockdown for two full days until the inventory is complete. Requests for items from the stores are to be sent directly to Edric or Erinta and they will dispatch one of the crew to retrieve those items - and log them appropriately. Such extreme measures, paired with the rumors, do not seem to bode well for the rest of the Weyr's staff - especially after such a relatively recent upheaval. In the meantime, the stores-workers will be trained on a new system for logging inventory received and removed - one in which they, the individual, is held accountable directly for those items. |
