| Everyone at High Reaches may know what happened during the boulder moving, but exactly what has happened since has been distinctly less obvious. The only thing that is really public knowledge is that the weyr has agreed to build a stone wall for Holder Browden, as he requested (with K'ndro, Z'yi and W'chek press-ganged into doing the building - something about punishment duty?). This would seem to be a loss for the weyr, but if so, none of the higher ups seem too concerned about it - and that includes the miners. Rumour would have it, then, that something else is going on behind the scenes, but so far, there hasn't been any specific suggestion as to WHAT. In the meantime, with the boulder situation organised, work has commenced on tilling the field in preparation for planting. Shifts of residents and riders involved in this, overseen by the Journeyman Farmcrafter, Tegburn, hired by the Weyr for this purpose. So far? So good. Perhaps it will be smooth sailing from here, then. Perhaps Browden is satisfied. Perhaps... |
