It was mid-afternoon on the 28th day when a blue from Hailstorm called for backup at Greenfields Hold, where two fields had-- somehow!-- caught fire, and were threatening others. The riders who reported were able to put the fire out before too much more damage was done, though it remains a disaster for the minor Crom Hold; every lost field is lost food for the winter and lost tithe for the Weyr, and even beyond that... it's not as though it's been an especially dry summer. There was certainly not lightning. Was it deliberately set, then? Is someone out to get Greenfields, or was it just a prank? Holder Linuore, her husband, and her two eldest sons, are reportedly concerned, and have requested additional sweeps over their lands to watch for trouble. To some, this will surely be seen as a sign of paranoia-- a complete overreaction! To others... What a waste!
