| When he left Tayte's room, he could feel Reisoth's presence in his mind right away, drawn to the anger. It was an annoyingly curious chill around the periphery of his consciousness and it only made him more agitated because he knew that the bronze meant to say something. Shut up, he snapped preemptively. It didn't work. « You were becoming far too soft because of the woman. This is better, H'vier. Your charade was growing tiresome. » He didn't respond; partially because he knew the bronze was right and he wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of agreement. Instead, H'vier fell back on one of his two main ways of letting off steam. He found a pair of legs to spread. Later, when he was home again and only mostly drunk, he told Reisoth to find him an Iceberg rider they could trust. They were long overdue in planting some local roots. |
