| What: Feeding restrictions are lifted at Fort Weyr but most Holds are still unable to tithe the usual number of animals. |

| The feeding restrictions have yet to be lifted, but the Weyr's herds look to be holding steady at a poor number, with the spring increases adding few but desperately needed animals to Fort's stock. At least there's no sign of herdbeasts dropping dead from sickness anymore, though the uninfected and still potentially infected beasts continue to be kept separate. Wherries with clipped wings remain a familiar sight in the pens, those with dragons with an inclination for fishing advised to supplement their diet that way. With most Holds unable to tithe the usual number of animals and quantities of meat, a great deal of substitutes (and some rather odd ones at that) have been included in the goods sent to the Weyr, which has resulted in the checking off of and storing of items being quite a disorganised event. Duties for weyrlings and a number of residents now include assisting with unloading and checking off goods, some of which, according to the hidework, shouldn't be in the tithes at all. Would anyone really notice if some of them went missing? |
