| It is past lunch, past drills and duties and past the time that Lilah has cleaned Eliyaveith, though the young queen now soaks in the large dragon pool, enjoying the heat away from the winter that has fallen in white so suddenly over Fort. It seems like Lilah could use that time away too, because honestly, she looks like shit at the moment. Her nose and cheeks are red, her skin flushed pale and clammy, and dark circles drawing under her eyes. Hair has been caught back messily, her outfit nothing new or surprising in the faded grey uniform of Dice. She watches Eliyaveith distractedly, between dragonspeak and what is likely a cold, without paying attention to her surroundings. Adiulth may find himself far too removed from the need of being warmed by the hot springs. Not today. He doesn't need it. Not when he's.. busy. Yes. Busy, from his perch along the rim. That doesn't however, mean that the green firelizard hovering around E'ten's head in a manner which continues to indicate her displeasure until the warmth reaches her winter chilled hide. With a trill of pleasure, she almost darts forward until seeing the gold dragon before the bronzerider gestures back in attempt to make Seaspray behave. Though, he does look towards Lilah with a bit of a frown. "Aren't you going to take time for yourself, Lilah? It looks like your queen is content and clean." Eliyaveith's head lifts from the water at the sound of the firelizard, her slowly whirling gaze focusing entirely on that one little speck of green and waiting. One has to imagine that Adiulth, at least, would get a warmer greeting, but Seaspray does not. The warning of footsteps and the firelizard has Lilah's dark gaze lifting from where she sits at the edge of the dragon pool, sliding to find E'ten. "I'm fine," she answers dismissively, and even if they are both aware that she's lying, there is a hint of stubbornness to the way she watches the bronzerider. "She still needs to be oiled. She's still growing." Indeed. The bronze may not be present physically in his entire darkly metallic hue, but Adiulth does pause long enough to ask for his little sibling that elicits an indignant squeak before disappearing into ::between:: with a brush of cold air just above E'ten's head. "I'm sorry if Eliyaveith doesn't like firelizards," he says, looking to the gold with a bow given first in her direction before settling his attention on Lilah. Stubborn. It's a trait he knows well. "She needs to be oiled once ready, I'm sure," He says, hunkering down onto the nearest stone that would be perch and seat - all in one. "You can at least soak in the meantime. Anyways, how is training going?" It's only after the firelizard disappears that Eliyaveith stretches her neck out of the pool, snaking it to blow an affectionate breath over E'ten now that Seaspray isn't there. But her attention only lingers so long on the bronzerider before she is reaching out with flames and heat to find her 'nephew', questioning. Why isn't he here? "I have my own bathing pool now in my weyr," Lilah points out, though where he doesn't press against that stubbornness, it softens with the hint of a smile. "Eliyaveith likes the wingshadowing. I tend to think it's a bit pointless, since as I understand it, I'm to leave all of the wing decisions in the hands of my Weyrleader, if I ever become the Weyrwoman." "Actually, you might want to pay attention to how each wing works," E'ten remarks as he leans forward onto both elbows to regard the younger and newer weyrwoman. Eliyaveith receives a smile, green eyes looking towards the gold before his lips twitch even higher. Adiulth must be a tattle tale. Or a very good relay point. "I doubt that Hattie leaves everything to N'muir, for example. Ali enjoyed her time with Jasper when we have an event where everyone switched wings. So,I guess my point is to not ignore everything. You never know when it might be useful." "I don't ignore anything. I am learning what I can," assures Lilah to E'ten, meeting green eyes with her own dark, masked gaze. "Besides, she won't let me skip it, or ignore it." Her chin tips towards that dragon in the bathing pool, even as she sniffles back whatever is running down her nose. "How is Reesa? And the Southern Continent?" Fair enough, seems to be the unspoken comment in the midst of stubbornness. With the mention of Reesa, there's no way to smother down a smile. Not when it comes to E'ten. "She's well. And we should have something to give to N'muir - which is why I'm looking for him." And why he made a stop here. "The rumors that I'm hearing from the Lord Holders makes me think that this potential idea holds merit. But, we'll see. You don't have to worry about things like that yet." "I don't." That, it seems, Lilah will agree with E'ten on, but the way her attention is weighted on the bronzerider says that she may not actually be inclined to keep out of the way. Instead, she questions, "What do you have for the Weyrleader? Do you think he'll invest more time into the idea?" E'ten may have a sense about this. The manner in which Lilah replies is more than enough for E'ten to straighten, pushing himself to his feet in the form of a stretching of both arms almost out in front of him. "It's an idea which he might find himself hard to ignore. Hopefully, he'll allow me to invest more time in the idea. Me and Ressa, alike. But to answer the question as to why Adiulth isn't here," he notes with an amused to the queen. "He's been keeping an eye on Reesa. Not that she knows it. Or maybe she does." It's on second thought that he adds that possibility. "I want to see how she's doing." It's not sure if she's let the secret out of the bag, but undoubtedly it has to be obvious. "I'll see you later, undoubtedly. Both of you," he adds to include the pair. "If you can have Adiulth bespeak Eliyaveith after you report to the Weyrleader--. Well, I would appreciate knowing if the idea is moving forward," is what Lilah says in farewell, though she tips her chin politely to the bronzerider. "Good luck." |
