Raw enthusiasm preceeds Szadath's none-too-gentle touch. There's no subtlety, no finesse-- he just bulls his way in. « HEY. Treasure hunting. Taikrin's looking for yours. You in? » (Szadath to Zaxameth)

To Szadath, Zaxameth's thoughts are awash in gllittering sapphire blue and aquamarine lit by a noon-sun. « Treasure hunting. Yes. » His clutchslibbling might recognize the sleepy edge to his thoughts, napping in the sun you see, « She is bathing... » A quick check in with a report of extra bubbles, this is somehow important, « She can be ready shortly. »

To Zaxameth, Szadath doesn't linger over the shared sensations, nor does he bother the offer up his own; he's in far too much of a hurry for such enjoyment. « Good. We meet in the bowl. »

To Szadath, Zaxameth's tone is pure amusement, « We will be there. » Though the brown can bet it won't be fast. He leaves the parting, « You should learn to have a little fun.» Before turning his attention to actually waking fully to get to the bussiness of treasure hunting.

Warucori heads in from the inner caverns. Warucori has arrived. Zaxameth has arrived.

Taikrin and Szadath have camped out near the entrance to the Snowasis' ledge, the former looking up warily at the foreboding cloud layer, while the latter twitches restlessly, foreclaws digging reflexively into the rain-softened ground. To Zaxameth, impatience bleeding through in a cool gust, « /This/ will be fun. Flying is fun. Chasing is fun. I want to /do/ it. »

Warucori comes wandering out of the lower caverns just as Zaxameth wings down from his ledge above. Warm and cozy in the sun up there, not cold and uncomfortable on the ground. "Hey there. Hope I haven't kept you waiting." She's all big smiles as she lifts a wave to Taikrin. Her lifemate blows out a hefty sigh as he pulls his wings in, « I hope we find sparklies.» Apparently /that/ is his goal.

"Hey," Taikrin twists to offer a lopsided grin for Warucori, gesturing grandly with a rolled-up sheet of paper. "Not too bad. Was gettin' a /little/ worried we might get a storm roll in before you finished gettin' clean. Wanted to go over this while we still got some light, yeah?" The brown's wings twitch, half-unfurling before he pulls them tightly to his back once more. « Lots of treasure. So we can share with Iskiveth, too. » This is, apparently, an important point.

Warucori has the curtisy to look appologetic, "I didn't mean to take so long. Zax didn't make it seem like it was that important." Then again, when does he ever? She does give the blue a scolding look, for what it's worth. "So, you have some likely locations?" She moves closer to the brownrider to get a better look at what she has gathered while Zaxameth preens one of his tallons, « Treasure for Iovniath too, perhaps a crown. » Because that would certainly make the gold dragon's day right? « I told her we would find something, even if she did not seem to care for the shinny bits. When she sees it, she will change her mind.»

« Yeah, I guess. » The brown doesn't seem nearly as enthusiastic to share with his dam as he is with his clutchmate. « Iskiveth might want one, too. » Taikrin shoots a /look/ up at the brown, but refrains from commenting to him audibly. Rather, she offers the aerial topo map to Warucori. There's a huge amount of blank space that's been gridded off, save for the outline of what appear to be a few tiny, rocky islands in the lower-right corner. "That's our zone. Szad's got the image for islands, 'cause that's our base. Don't know much about what else's out there, 'cept a LOT of ocean; we ain't been to take a look."

Warucori's eager expression fades a few degrees as her eyes drift over the map and the sheer volume of area they must scan is made reality. "Shards and shells...I guess it's no wonder no one has found it all yet." She leans in to get a better look and draws a finger from the base across to one of the islands, "So, are we going to search the islands or just look for new ones? Think there are new ones no one has mapped out?" Zaxameth is being quiet for the moment, just waiting to get things underway in his usual lax manner.

"Won't hurt to get a good look at 'em. Don't know as how V'teri's done any /real/ searching on 'em. Told me they weren't much but spots of rocks just big enough to get a visual on though, you know?" Taikrin traces a finger over the relatively small area that's been plotted out, then quirks another grin up at the bluerider. "Reckon there's plenty nobody's mapped out before. Who knows what we're gonna find? Might be there's a whole islands of diamonds or gold or somethin'."

Warucori nods slowly, "Well, V'teri's not been around a whole lot so who knows how much time he's investing in the seasrch himself." SHe grins, nodding her head in agreement, "I don't mind either way..charting or island searching. And way, wouldn't that be something?" Zaxameth gives an engeretic warble and flick of his wins, "I'm sure he will be willing to share, it's not as though the treasure belongs to any one person right?"

Taikrin rolls her eyes at the mention of V'teri, disdain dripping off her voice as she replies, "Yeah, seriously. Guy thinks he's taking a cut? Whatever. He can take it off my cold dead body, you know? It's /ours/. You and me and Z'yi, if he decides he wants to come play after all. Ain't sure who he's goin' with. But. If /we/ want to share, we will. With who we want." Szadath rumbles emphatic agreement with this, echoes of Cadejoth in his projection: his team comes /first/, before all others.

Warucori's grin is a touch siniser, "I guess if he didn't want to share it, he should not have asked us all to help in this little project." Impressed with the brownrider's protecive stance of the team, Cori nods her head, "Sounds good to me. I certainly am not going to just lay back and see our hard work get yanked away either." She rubs her hands together and motions towards the dragons, "Think we'll have enough light to give it a go tonight or are we going to wait? I don't know about you but I don't want to miss out."

"Tonight?" Taikrin's eyes glaze over, not in the dragon-talking sort of way, but rather in the 'oh Faranth, timezone math' way. "Uhhh... I /think/ it's already pretty dark out over the ocean?" She twists up to frown at Szadath, who's also gone quiet with thought. "Yeah. Probably we'll want to start in the dark one morning. Couple hours before sunup; ain't like we got a /lot/ of day anyways this time of turn, you know? When's your next free morning?"

Warucori sighs out her disapointment, "Oh, that figures. So, that direction is later than we are here. Well, that's alright." She gives the map an extra look. When she's asked about her free time the bluerider grins, "I have evening sweeps the next few days and then a free day before I'm back on early morning rotation again. So, if you let me know, we can be up extra early and be ready." SHe crinkles her nose, "I really /can/ arrange to be up and on time if I know in advance."

"Or maybe it's the other way around... I really ain't good with this figuring stuff, you know?" The brownrider lets out a sigh, extending a hand for the map. "I'll double-check. Can never keep it straight in my head, and Szad ain't much of a help. V'teri didn't show me how /far/ out in the ocean we are, you know? Like, if we're close enough to Benden that it's actually tomorrow or whatever? Or if it makes a difference which way we go around?" A shudder runs down her spine: brain overheating! "Either way. I'll try to give you advance warning, so's to make sure you're up early enough."

There's a moment of hesitation and then the map is handed back over, "So, how much do we know about what V'teri is looking for anyway? I haven't really gotten any details. I mean, have you spoken to him about it or is he just...having a game at our expense? I don't know him at all...." There's a little nod of understanding about the time tables and she admits, "We, Zax and I, were not the best students. He makes it very difficult to focus on learning the boring stuff. I don't know if I should admit that or not but...it's not like I'm going to get tapped as wing second or anything so no harm done right?"

"I ain't really had a chance to talk a lot to him, y'know? Just... the basics. I mean, I guess we're lookin' for shipwrecks, so there's that." Taikrin shrugs, her grin returning full-force at Cori's admission. "Know what you mean. Ain't like we're masters of book learnin', neither. If it ain't drills or strategy we ain't interested. We got other people to know that stuff for us. Just point us and we'll go. We figured you an' Zax got the eye for detail, you know? Be good at pointin' out stuff we might miss when we're lookin', on account of us bein' in a hurry."

Warucori grins and nods, "We all have our strong points. So yeah, we'll be happy to check out the details." With a sigh she admits, "I am sorry to hear that there's not more information. I told the Weyrwoman I would find out more about it but whenever I go looking for him he's 'out' if you know what I mean." Adding a shrug she laughs, "I guess there's no harm done though. Worst happens, maybe our dragons get some fishing and hunting in or something." Because her fishing? not likely.

Zev heads in from the inner caverns. Zev has arrived.

"Yeah, I got you. Not sure how much I trust a /Monaco/ bronzerider," Taikrin agrees quickly. "Still, good exercise, y'know? And it'll be kinda like old times, flying in a wing together. Maybe we'll see shipfish doing cool stuff. Maybe we'll get to /catch/ a shipfish. Bet Zax'd like to know what one tastes like? Hear they're super big, like, bigger'n a herdbeast even." The map is rolled back up and stuffed inside Taikrin's jacket as she shoots another glance at the enchroaching cloud cover. "Reckon it's gonna be cold, either way. Hopefully it won't snow yet, 'cause that would be terrible. Still. Pack food!"

Zev wanders out from the caverns for a bit of air and a stretch after some time spent down in his workshop. A hand casually brushes a few wood shavings off his shirt that were still clinging to him. His casual glance around the bowl stops when he spots a particular blue and his rider out in conversation on the bowl floor. Then with a growing grin he heads further out into the bowl, his momentary breath of air break extended.

Zaxameth tips his head to one side as he listens in and Cori grins back at Taikrin, "Oh, I imagine he'd like to give shipfish hunting a go. I would just like to watch them, seems like asking for bad luck to let your dragon munch on one." She nods about being cold and adds, "I'm going to pack some extra warm clothes and maybe a blanket or two. If we're bringing food, we might just find a good picnic spot." Because that's about her speed. Food and relaxing. She doesn't notice Zev right away, he's about to the pair of chatting riders before she lifts a hand to wave good evening to him.

"Hah, yeah, picnic on a spit of ugly rock in the middle of the ocean when it's just about to snow. Sure. Count me right in," Taikrin teases. She glances up at Warucori's greeting, brow knitting as she tries to place Zev. "Sounds like a plan, anyways," she remarks the bluerider. "Reckon I'm gonna grab me some dinner, maybe start putting together a search pattern or something. See you later?"

Zev returns the wave and makes it all the way over to greet Cori with a quick hug, "Hey Cori, you super busy or can I hang around a bit?" Then he turns and gives a grin and a greeting in Taikrin's direction, "Evening rider, hope I'm not sticking my nose into anything..."

Warucori laughs, "Alright, so maybe it's not the best time or place to pitch a picnic. But we could make it fun. Just need a fire and extra thick fur jackets." She breaks off to give Zev a return hug but doesn't linger on it, "We were planning our treasure-hunting trip. You remember I was talking about it right?" The bluerider can't help but look disapointed as her team-mate makes to depart for food. "Must you go already?"

With a low rumble of farewell and a shower of dust, Szadath abruptly springs into the air and starts winging in a direction that leads suspiciously close to Iskiveth's ledge. Taikrin is left to roll her eyes in the brown's general direction, before confirming, "Yeah, reckon I ought to. Girl's gotta eat; we were running drills all afternoon." There's a smile quirked for Zev, though. "Ain't interrupting at all. I was just takin' off." A jaunty wave all around, and then she's turning to head up the stairs towards the Snowasis and the promise of dinner.

Zev returns the wave then hmms, "A bit of food wouldn't be out of line. You managed to have dinner yet, Cori? I've been working on those chairs all day and nearly managed to skip lunch." Nearly managed probably explains the stain on the collar of his tunic from having grabbed something in quite a bit of a hurry.
