It's been a while since anyone has seen Edyis in the barracks, though she's a frequently seen face in lessons, particularly the harper classes and dragonhealing ones, or helping with firestone tossing. She's got a purpose today though as she enters the barracks with swift confident strides, hair flying a little bit loose from her braid. Of course her general demeanor seems incredibly surly. "If you think you can just run out after spending an evening together like that, and leave your clothing behind, and expect me to return it you have another thing coming V'ros." Her voice pitched to carry. Even as she's throwing the clean laundry bundle at the cot she presumes to be his.

Weyrlings are loitering around the barracks - free of lessons for 'this moment'. They're in various states of napping, talking, or a few are reading. Even the younger weyrlings are making much of their time, some oiling and others feeding their dragon halves. V'ros is sitting on his cot, one leg curled in towards his body, the other dangling off the side. He's turning around a suspicious-looking block of wood in his hands, trying to decipher the symbols and drawings painted on its surfaces. His face blanches when the scribe appears and starts talking loudly. Everyone is looking, and before long, whispering. Surprise flashes into anger. Standing, he points a finger at her, his face a mask of burgeoning rage. "Get the fuck out of here."

"You're a real jerk V'ros." Voice wavering, wobbly almost as though she's on the verge of tears, and to those watching, it probably seems that way. "Even made sure they got laundered and this is how you treat me." They are all really whispering now, but the show isn't over. "It's over." And with that she turns heel to leave, shoulders shaking with something that looks suspiciously like sobbing. Neatly folded in the laundry is a single folded piece of parchment, with a note written in curly feminine script and pink ink. "Thanks for the fun. Enjoy." She's leaving unless anyone makes to stop her.

"I.. I don't.." V'ros glances around the barracks at his fellow weyrlings, most of which look surprised; some are laughing, some look disapproving, and one kid gives him a thumbs up. His face goes red with humiliation as he shoots a glare towards Edyis' retreating back. No one moves to stop her, and the gossiping quiets down once the object of their attention sits on his cot and resumes toying with the wooden block, as if nothing happened. Only the splotchy remainder of his blush is left to provide contrast to his unaffected demeanor. Nothing to see here, folks!

Aw, poor V'ros! That seemed unnecessarily cruel.

No, that seemed exactly right. Go Edyis! Stand up for yourself.
