| What: Preita is involved in a fight between an Obsidian bluerider and a Carnelian bronzerider, and some of the Weyr's herdbeasts are found dead. |

| To those who weren't in the commons cavern at the time, the details of the altercation aren't precisely known. What /is/ general knowledge is that an Obsidian bluerider and a Carnelian bronzerider have been grounded and confined to quarters for the next two sevendays for behaviour unbecoming of a rider. If only that were all. Rumour has it that the fight that broke out was over junior weyrwoman Preita, who has herself been grounded for the next two sevendays, with Elaruth imposing the restrictions upon all three dragons, including her junior, Yshtiath. Some say that Preita was present and deliberately encouraging of conflict, others say that she merely stumbled upon the fight - either way, she certainly did nothing to try and stop it and was even seen /smiling/ as she took in the scene. As if that wasn't enough, three herdbeasts were found dead in the Weyr's pens on the morning of day 25, month 11, with no signs of butchering or the usual hallmarks of a dragon kill. It seems that whatever is happening with the holders' beasts has finally reached the Weyr. |
