| Taking a moment to peek in, Hana hms quietly in relief; the hearth was empty of insomniacs, and well suited to her needs. Taking a seat at the small table, it is the work of a moment to pull out the stoppered pot of ink, a writing instrument, the small roll of parchments, and a small bottle of sand. Once that is taken care of, a seat is taken and the hard part begun: what the sharding hells to /write/. Havannah and Natanial I hope this writing finds you well in the time since we've last spoken. I would like to apologize to you for the suddenness in the change of my station. However, with all that has occurred in recent times, it was a quick decision that did not lend itself to asking for your advice and support. I hope this did not cause you undue pain and concern, and that you will pass on my deepest apologies to those I was to visit in Crom. In other news, were you able to attend the meeting in Tillek? My fondest regards, Your Daughter A once over, and Hana grimaces. Not her best writing, but then - it was to her parents. If they'd only stop trying to sell her off to the highest bidder... A shake of the head. That was unfair - and only partially true. Hopefully the idea that she is here at the Weyr as a favor will keep the vitriol to a small amount. Thankfully, the next one wasn't near as difficult, even if it had to be worded as carefully. My dear Lady Issedi, Is it true what I've heard? Little Vini is soon to have a sibling? Please, let me know soonest - I do hope you have forgiven me in the staying; it was either this or Crom, and I couldn't bare that thought. At least this way, I refuse to let anyone else to make his swaddling blankets! Well, if you will indulge me in this. As for my stay here, things have gone well. Lady Azaylia was rather unsettled to the thought of assistance, but once I found that she was so busy that she was unable to take regular tea - well, you know me, my lady. She now has regular tea, and meals to boot, and seems to be doing much better. There is far too much to be done to be working on an empty stomach, and she is looking much better. Don't tell anyone, but I think if she hadn't asked for my help, she would have soon gotten ill from exhaustion, and that I could not allow. In other news, I have spent a bit of time with the new weyrlings. I have not yet been able to spend time with young N'gan, but he seems to be doing /very/ well. He has been tapped for the leadership program that the Weyr is holding - a nod to the training Lady Edeline had given him, I have no doubt. D'kan seems to be taking very well with his Kazavoth. And I even managed to have a couple of conversations with Alida - I do have the goal of kidnapping her for a proper tea; she enjoys a good mint cup greatly. Please give my deepest regards to your lord, and a long hug with young Vinien, Hana A nibble to the lower lip, then a nod is given. There. That is done, and hopefully well to boot. |

Both letters were carefully worded, true, but otherwise they're night and day. As proper as Hana is, you can tell who she prefers writing to. The name dropping is especially clever. ;)
I also find her opinion on Zay's eating habits (before Hana) hilarious, and perhaps not terribly far off. x3 Workaholic that she is.
