| Spring storms have plagued the bay between Fort and Ista since the end of month 2. A big one slammed the islands for several days around the 20th of last month causing serious damage, injury and loss of life, including an unfortunate incident with one of Ista's Weyrlings. Another smaller storm unleashed its fury early in month 3, starting out in the open sea to the south and moved northward into the bay and lashed the Boll coast and as far north as Ruatha River before moving eastward and died in the bay's waters without reaching Ista. Two ships, one bound for Nerat and another for Big Bay out of Southern Boll have been missing for three days, and sweeps sent out to find them have found no trace of them in spite of meticulously organized grid search patterns out over open water. Both ships have now been declared lost at sea. It's the storm, right? The storm is to blame. Or is it? |
