| She stole his prey. She stole his prey. Khajith's crouched, overlong tail switching back and forth, growling a tinny growl after the retreating footsteps. Prey. Asaroth doesn't seem to react much to anything since being shelled, the ugly bronzeling curled up in his couch with no lifemate present. It's the growl that gets him to stir - hear lifting in Khajith's direction with his study not yet locked on him yet. Hmmmm? Khajith is not shy with his words; « Mine. » Nik isn't around either, though likely he ought to be. « Did you see it? » It's lit in salty silver, this beast, this ferocious beast, bigger than even Asaroth it must have been. « I caught it. » The taste of it, the ichor, salty and hot... Asaroth's silence is heavy. Khajith would see the image of a dark cave with glowing eyes staring back at him, and the smell that is thrusted at him is stale like tepid lake water that hasn't moved in years. It's quite possible the bronze can't speak, but he shows an empty space, likely to answer that he hasn't seen it - if Khajith interprets it as such. Easy enough to interpret; easier if Khajith weren't screwing up his muzzle, hide wrinkling away from his teeth to go with his unhappy look at the bronze: yuck. He starts stalking about the cavern, sniffing. Hunting for more-- 'snakes, not smells. The smells lingers. Asaroth seems to either not mind or not notice. He now watch Khajith stalk around, his silence still remaining so as the cave and its hidden beast fades from his fellow weyrling dragon's mind. But not the smell. Nope. It'll linger longer. Well, if it's going to linger anyway-- Khajith, on his next circuit, flops down right next to the larger dragonet. Asaroth doesn't seem to stir when the blue settles by him. Hopefully not too close since the little bronze has been known to nip. The ugly bronze looks tired though, and a sigh is all that is given before finally, the smell fades along with his presence into slumber. Kind of close. Maybe not too close; Khajith's not inciting play and the nipping that goes along with it, at the moment, but rather yawning a big huge baby yawn because it's contagious. Unlike Asaroth, he doesn't fall asleep yet; he's watching. He's lurking. He's... just resting his eyes a little, that's it... and then a little more. |
