Leiventh was not new to flights, nor to the vagaries and the dangers they presented. A pair of falling dragons were an easy thing to identify, to take note and avoid even when driven with the lust of a flight, and yet... yet.

Pain.

Physical, and mental.

Everything shook, his vision blurred, and the echo of something from his dragon made his heart pound with a sudden fear that made him run.

On the ground, after, numbweed took the worst edge off the wound that snaked down Leiventh's neck. He didn't look up, didn't watch, didn't want to watch whatever outcome played out above.

"Leiventh, what happened?"

« I saw something. »

"What?"

There was a flash of gold, and then blinding light in his mind's eye; a brilliance too sharp to pierce, painful enough that he'd have shied away from it if there was any way he could. His involuntary clutching of his head didn't much help, and it vanished moments after it appeared, leaving a sparkling afterimage that left his vision unclear.

When his heartbeat was mostly back to normal -- even if there were still dazzling sparkles at the corners of his vision, he asked more tentatively, "What was that?"

Silence. Leiventh didn't know, or wouldn't say -- either was just as likely as the other.

Tension slid down his spine as he pushed to movement. He needed to get away, to think.

First, he'd make sure the boys weren't still at each other's throats. That much, at least, he could manage.

Same here, though it also reminds me of occipital migraines... We may never know. (shakes fist!)
