This is the weekly plot summary for High Reaches Weyr - covering the week of June 9 - 15 (For last week, click here): Month 13 N'ky and Alida deal with flights and it ends up in drunkeness. Crafter politics come to the fore as the senior Crafters begin holing up together on day 13 to decide how to decide on a Craft Representative, who's to take regular meetings with the Weyrleaders and Headwoman. (+bbread 5/26) Madilla doesn't want to be the Craft Representative. But does she want any of those idiots to be doing it? Aishani visits Hattie at Fort Weyr to thank her for an early Turnover gift. They discuss the future of High Reaches, and Weyrwomany things. Two green riders (Sabella and N'ky) talk flights. Weyrwoman and weyrlings have dinner in a crowded cavern. They talk of Crafters, Holders, and possible sources of food for the future. N'ky and Alida do not go on a date. They talk more about the idea of farming in the South. D'kan and Alida go to Nabol in the sleet. They discuss current matters. N'ky talks to Azaylia about culling beasts from the Southern herds and keeping chickens at the Weyr. E'sren helps a family in need. N'ky breaks his arm skating. Maybe Alida's not a great teacher. E'sren and Telavi talk Turnover and wings at Vintner Hall.
