This is the weekly plot summary for High Reaches Weyr - covering the week of Mar 17 - 23 (For last week, click here): 4/31 The High Reaches Hold contingent, always set to leave after the hatching, does so immediately after, likely in support of Lady Tillek, whose potential heir is now a weyrling bluerider.(+bbread 5/39) Leova and Anvori react to Aishani's announcement. Z'ian is pretty pissed at Jo, post-hatching. Z'ian and Aishani talk over his wing issues with Vienne; he asks her not to put Jo in surprise danger in the future. Aishani and Vienne talk about Shani's reveal and reactions to it - plus Snowdrift/Boreal issues. Jo and Alida reveal some of their origins. Aishani meets Sabella, finds out her cousin is a brownrider at Fort. Mave continues to learn to fight, now from Bones. Fortian Weyrleader N'muir has questions for Aishani... most of which have little to do with her. Arekoth decides that chopped up meat is not good enough for the weyrlings. Cadejoth and K'del meet some weyrlings. Jo tries to figure out new greenrider Telavi's deal. Jo and Bones spar and sort-of talk politics. Reactions to Aishani's announcement are mixed in the caverns, with no small sense of betrayal amongst the lower caverns staff - even if she offers apologies, those from a known liar can only go so far. Some feel sympathy, while others have begun to seek out Azaylia as a potential leader, given she's someone who they can trust. (+bbread 5/39) Gossip continues to circulate about H'kon's involvement in Iolene's murder and the impression of Tillek's heir, though no official word has come from the Hold. Given the Weyr lost their last heir... not a good sign. (+bbread 5/39) Aishani and D'kan catch up, and she apparently gains some loyalty, even after being a big liar. He also asks why? Azaylia and Hraedhyth meet some of their weyrlings. Leova and H'kon are not very positive about recent developments. Arekoth decides, quite on his own, that it's time for an under-one-month-old Kazavoth to 'hunt'. The weyrling brown is injured. Quinlys talks to N'ky about speech therapy... ... Then handles the situation with Kazavoth. Arekoth is banned from further contact with the weyrlings. Lia, a greenrider who impressed with Azaylia and has long been anti-Exile, is likewise anti-Vijay. She demands K'del take action. After this, a portion of Boreal, Lia included, claim the Weyrleader's table at meals, naming Z'ian their Weyrleader. (+bbread 5/41) It's news to Z'ian. Aishani has a proposal for Jo's Greenfields higher ups - a deal to get her family back in business.
