Keysi doesn't lose consciousness, and murmurs a mumbled 'thank you' of some degree to the Weyrleader before he goes, after she's deposited on a stretcher. At Edyis' voice, she opens one eye to look at her, one arm protective across her chest, the other hand on her even-paler than normal head. "I'm not supposed to be on this side of the stretcher." Is her complaint. But, light hearted, at least she's back.

Edyis smirks, "Only you would complain about that." But the scribe falls in step next to the healer apprentices stretcher, intending to accompany her all the way to the infirmary.

The apprentices slow as they come up to a cot in the far middle part of the room. Together, they lift and transition her in unison- a well-oiled, well-trained machine. "I can stand." "You just almost fainted. You can just let us help." "I can do it myself. It's not like I haven't been here before." "Remember what it's like to have difficult patients?" A journeyman was the last voice that spoke, and that hushed the candidate into a passive (aggressive) silence. Given all the blood and dirt caking the bandages onto her skin, they couldn't just dump her into the large baths. They'd have to soak them off slowly without ripping off the healing flesh beneath. Warm-soaked cloths are wrapped around the bandaged areas- her right upper arm, her chest, her hands- and let to sit.

Schuyler is right behind the stretcher, having been shooed away when he offered to help carry it. He fidgets, trying not to be in the way then, a sudden epiphany: "Do...do you want something to eat Keys?" he offers. "Or drink?"

Edyis blinks at the journeyman, chuckling. "If you want I can knock her out, it might complicate things though." Moving over to where the healers are working on her friend. "Come on, Keysi, let them do their jobs. If you are good I'll take you out drinking." The once-scribe comments finding an empty chair to settle into nearby.

Keysi is a delightful person to be around- what with that smell of terrible things, the redword stain that has mixed with the multi-layer of dust and grime. Hair that looks like it's been the worst (or best) night out ever. The fuss- so much fuss- after so many days of so much quiet. She closes her eyes as they finish wrapping the wraps, one apprentice touching her head which immediately makes her twinge. "You can't even finish your exam until I'm visible." She says sharply to the younger apprentice. "No, but he can look for life-threatening problems." The journeyman again, who turns to wink at Edyis- "I'll keep that in mind. We might need it." His arms raise like a white-flag of defeat. Sky's question makes her open her eyes again, though explicitly not looking at the light the apprentice is trying to shine in them, "I think I'll hold off on food, but thanks. I feel sic-" The young male apprentice chimes in immediately with "You do?" Which is given a short-breathed sigh, "Not like that," and then to Ed, "I don't drink but, you owe me a match."

Schuyler looks concerned. "You're ok to drink but not to eat...that can't be normal." He obviously misunderstood her. "Uh...ok..." he isn't going to push it. Bouncing on the tips of his toes, he shifts out of the way of another apprentice. "That too, but I think I'll just whisk you out for a night of fun and bad behavior." She flashes a smile at the wink at the journeyman, folding her arms over the back of the chair that she is sitting backward in, resting her chin on them. "Can't fight in that condition though." She points out helpfully. "It's my turn to nag about proper healing times. Now sit still and let them work."

"I didn't nag." Keysi says vehemently, but under her breath- almost a muttering. She's stopped from any further complaints when the healer beside her starts pulling of the days-old wrapping from her arm. A hiss escapes her as her teeth clench, and her fingers hold the blanket beside her. They'll have to cut the compression wrap off, but likely not while there's visitors. "At least you had redwort.." The journeyman mumbles, rubbing the stubble of his chin as he eyes the wound. "I couldn't change it. Myself." She hisses, defending the condition of the much-too-old wraps. They give her a break once they've got the gash on her arm revealed, and the candidate looks to Sky, "Hgnh.. What? Drink? No, nothing." She's just as confused as he, though doesn't display it much at all.

Schuyler shakes the confusion off. "Are you sure I can't get you something to eat...oh! Hot klah! We weren't able to get that to you. I can get you fresh hot klah? Would you drink that?" he rambles, poor boy doesn't know how to help if he's not feeding someone.

Ketsl knocks politely against the doors before sticking his head in. "Am I in the right place? Ah!" The rest of the man follows, looking cheerful if nervous. "I'm sorry to interrupt. I'm Ketsl; I was told this is where they took the people from the cave-in?"

Dark eyes lift then at the newcomer's voice, brows drawing faintly as Sky Rambles. "It is." Is her simple reply, smirking, "Keysi, you nagged. And thanks to that I had a hell of a time scrubbing Ilicaeth with one good hand." She smirks again, though the former scribe winces as the bandages are pulled off.

"If they.. continue to poke at me.. I'll never have an appetite again." Keysi is a terrible patient. And of course she should know better, as her journeyman reminded her, and continues to remind her with frequent head shaking of disapproval of her behavior- but it's all light, with a smile. At least she's here to have bad behavior. The girl herself does seem to settle a bit when they put a warm compress on her head, for the inflammation and the dirt as well, to reveal where the old-ish wound there is. Perhaps that pounding behind her eyes is not helping her current aggressive tendencies. The male apprentice has started work on her hands in the meantime, which are not nearly as terrible looking as the last revealing. "Fine." Is given to Ed. "Maybe a bit." She looks at them both, an ease coming over her face, "I missed you guys." Is quiet. Until the new voice makes her angle her attention to the doorway. "Do you need assistance?" Says the injured one to the young man. Old habits. Once a healer, always a healer.

Schuyler reaches out for Keysi's hand that isn't being worked on. "I missed you too Keys." he pauses. "Was...that a yes? Can I get you klah?" he looks to Edyis. "That was a yes saying I can get her klah, right?" wishful thinking...

Ketsl is startled into a laugh, looking rueful. "No, thank you, I don't need any help. In point of fact I was supposed to /be/ the help although it appears you've managed to free yourself without myself or my shipment of skybroom." The young man steps further into the room, giving everyone a polite nod as he reaches for his bag. "Instead I am reduced to begging your forgiveness through the application of presents."

Edyis smirks, "Quit complaining. You are alive, and as soon as they get those bandages off... You are so getting some form of bath. You reek. No offense."

"Lya could use a lot of presents." Keysi rests her head back, lost in thought for a few moments. It doesn't seem to matter if he has no idea who Lya is, "I'm sure it'll be appreciated." She's too uncomfortable right now, and yet at the same time, the feeling of a cot instead of a rocky floor is rather glorious. "After the bath, Sky, I assure you." Is the response to the baker. She seems to shift her hand, though, away from his reach- either for comfort's sake or because it's just 'her'. And at Ed's comment, "If I did hugs, I would hug you." A threat? Certainly a threat, given that comment. The journeyman edges forwards, grabbing the privacy curtain to pull across- "Sorry, guys." He notes, "Just give us a moment." And a few minutes would pass. Behind that drape ensues a "Roll over please," the sound of crispy bandages being cut, an awful peeling sound and a resounding like of expletives that is cut off with assumedly her face being shoved into a pillow. Or a pillow shoved in her face. Given how well they know each other here, it could be either or. Short, painful breaths follow; murmurs by the healers involved, and then the privacy drape is pulled back. Keys now wearing a very light tunic instead of just that wrap, but still laying on her stomach. "They'll take me soon." Comes her defeated yet still even, neutral reply.

Schuyler nods accepting the after a bath as a good choice. "Yeah, probably a good idea." he verbalizes. He looks over at Edyis. "How are you doing?" he asks when the curtain is pulled across. The newest member of the of the room gets a grin, albiet a dusty, tired one. "Hey there." he greets.

Edyis's lips twist downward almost imperceptibly at the name, but she tilts her head at the threat. "Farideh did once. I didn't punch her." For hugs. Is that a threat back, who can say with that Cheshire grin the dark-eyed scribe gives. "I actually want snacks ready for the sponge bath part." Surely she is just giving Keys a hard time. "But damn woman, you won't be able to fight for months. What did you do? Break a rib?"

Ketsl says, "I'm sure she could." Ketsl hums agreeably. He does not, in fact know who Lya is but that doesn't seem to matter. His eyes flash down to Keysi's hands before the curtain closes and the little two-toned cube that he'd pulled out goes right back into the bag. Instead, by the time the curtain opens again the young man is holding a little box: on the side is a lever and at the top, attached to three little poles, is a carved wooden dragon. "I --" He looks at Edyis, a little taken-aback and then at Schuyler. Schuyler, it seems is the safe option as Ketsl slides a little more towards him. "That is, I hope this will do?" He'd bow but Ketsl is a little wobbly still from all the travel and would rather not end up behind his own curtain-of-mysterious-yelling."

"It's the wound." Keysi says in quiet tones, exhaustion setting in, "I didn't.. couldn't put anything on it before wrapping." She seems to be hesitant to admit that in front of her journeyman, given she had options. The others could have helped her. There's an expected heaviness about the journeyman who seems to be leaving, but first says "After you're clean, we will bandage you." And then he's stepped away to another cot. About the broken ribs, Keysi doesn't accept or deny that fact, though given how she's acting, it must be a thing. "Just wait until I'm out of here." She offers to Ed; a challenge. The tiny object in Ketsl's hand is stared at, "I don't think I deserve gifts for not dying.." Perhaps there's confusion there, but her expression never really changes when she's not being poked at, and often even when she is.

Schuyler raises an eyebrow to the man. "Will do...for what?" he wants to know. Edyis's comment catches his attention. "Snacks? I can totally do snacks." he looks between Edyis and Keysi, hopeful.

Ketsl's smile is a little confused in turn but he bravely soldiers on. "Well, as I am the giver of the gift," -- bribe -- "I think you not dying is a perfectly deserving thing to do." Not wishing to maker her move more than necessary, Ketsl steps forward with the toy on the palm of one hand held out so that she can easily reach it. With the other hand he fiddles with the little lever -- as the lever moves so two do two of the little poles and suddenly the dragon is flapping. "It isn't a snack or a bath but it'll keep you entertained." And it won't be hard to use even with hands that look sore.

Edyis smiles at the toy, and at her friend. "Yes... well about that. There seems to be a problem with our bunk." She tilts her head as though trying to choose her words carefully. "I keep having nightmares about getting crushed to death by plushies." She glances at Ketsl.

"There won't be snacks for any sponge bath." Keysi looks at Sky, but more pointedly at Ed for telling him so. As Kestl steps forwards, it's fortunate that it's her left side towards him that she can reach the trinket. It flaps. Her fingers- still miscolored in old, nigh-resolved bruising with a multitude of almost-scarring cuts amongst them- grasp the little beast by its body and brings it closer to her face. It's rested on the bed beside her. "...Thanks." A beat, as her grey as look over the tiny dragon to study his face, "What's your name?" Ed's comment turns her attention, "...Our bunk? Plushies?"

Schuyler sighs. "Ok...well...if, when, you need them let me know." he raises an eyebrow. "What happened with plushies on her bunk?"

Ketsl smiles, his own grey eyes crinkling up. He seems amiable enough to repeating his name. "Ketsl. I'm the new journeyman woodcrafter assigned to the Weyr." He's pretty sure he'll have to repeat it again later. Stepping back towards Schuyler, he tosses him a much more mischievous smile. "I think, maybe, I could use a guide to the kitchen myself, if you don't mind the company. Perhaps by then I'll have remembered how stomaches work on land."

"There's this ... memorial thing." She sighs, as she stands. "I'm going to let you get a bath, I've got some things to do in the records room." She smiles. "Nice meeting you Ketsl, See you round?

"Well met." Keysi breathes softly, a bit less strained. They most certainly gave her something that's now setting in with a vengence. "Will see you soon." Is said, encorporating them all, though she lingers on Edyis for a moment longer. The journeyman and an assistant return with a stretcher. They don't intend her to walk, certainly much to her dismay, though given the onsetting exhaustion, there isn't all that much fight left. With few words spoken in low tones that are no doubt complaints, the candidate is escorted towards the large baths in the conjoining dragon infirmary.
