| Midday of day 7, month 3, the lunch hour was interrupted for all by the keening of every dragon at Fort. A handful of those who received confusing messages from their lifemates in response to 'who?' and 'why?' and rushed out into the bowl to investigate were greeted by the sight of an unconscious (and dragonless) Obsidian rider sprawled on the lakeshore, ichor staining the sand. Bea, formerly brown Oroth's was quickly moved to the Infirmary, though the story leading to her lifemate's death has yet to be produced and understandably so, given her loss and state of mind. The conclusion that many are jumping to is that it's all a sad ending to a hunting trip gone wrong, since Obsidian have been assigned to hunting duties for many months now. It's true that Oroth was known for taking risks too, so perhaps an incident in the air and a fall is to blame? Some argue that the extent of Oroth's injuries weren't realised, given that Bea must have been clear of her dragon when he went Between. |
