Tatta-tatta tap. Tap-tap-ta-tap. Tonight, it is not the drums of Hraedhyth that make it difficult for Rasavyth to sleep. It's the sound of branches clawing at glass, animated by peaceful winds. Despite his earlier withdraw that seemed so complete, the bronze never really left. He's been lingering on the lawn of Ghislaith's mind since their unpleasant exchange. It's his turn to be the ghost. There, but wholly invisible. The ooze is there, but now it is completely transparent, no shimmers to be seen. The shimmers are birthed as a comfort for others, an assurance that they can see him in his mimicry. He doesn't need them. They're yet one more way he makes other minds feel at home.

He isn't accustomed to not knowing the answer. He thought he trained himself better than that. He's spent hours and hours combing through every memory his K'zin taking everything of value to his understanding of the world. He started out understanding more than most, and his mental faculties give him an edge on the rest of the clutch. But K'zin has such limited experiences when it comes to women. The bronze's bugs crawl over top of one another back in the direction of the sleeping mind of his lifemate. They meander over K'zin's surface thoughts before beginning to burrow deeper. The bugs slip between the folds of dreams.

Rasavyth's mental maneuvers are always calculated to produce the desired effect, but now he is directionless. « Women. » He snorts softly to himself. He'd skipped over this area of knowledge because, well, first there weren't many memories to draw from, and second, why would it be important to him? Aren't women just as easy to understand and play as all these other pawns?

« Evidently not. » His sigh has some more complex bugs shattering and fluttering back into the greater ooze, into the pile of their component parts. « I shall not make that mistake again. » His resolve is clear, and the bugs suddenly have purpose. Those that have delved deep into K'zin's mind begin to surface, dragging memories behind them.

On the cot, K'zin begins to toss, his dreams a now confusing kaleidoscope of every interaction of man and woman, and even woman and woman that he has been privy to. This time, Rasavyth doesn't focus on those where K'zin is the focus, but rather those where K'zin was engaged in some other task, and the interactions were happening around him. These are things K'zin doesn't even remember that he's ever known.

Rasavyth's tendrils of attention start at the beginning. He draws forth the first memory: a three turn old Wakizian playing on the floor, while his "Uncle" nuzzles his face into his mother hair. The shrewd dragon knows and understands the implications here. Will he ever tell K'zin of his origins? Would it be better for him to never know? That isn't a decision for now. Now it is time to see further memories. Waki at five, living at MineCraft Hall with his father. One of the older apprentice girls clumsily flirting with his stalwart and ever-loyal father. The girl departing rejected, in tears.

As Rasavyth's focus intensifies, the memories begin slipping by faster and faster, but never too fast for the dragon to glean the insights he wishes. Sleepless hours earn much in the way of new knowledge. Each bit he claims from the memories is transformed into one of his own. Every time the dragon makes his own memory, a trail of tiny bugs go looping back into the folds of the dreams. He has a system, an organization, so he can always find just the memory he wants when he needs it.

He won't be caught unprepared again. He learns from his mistakes.

< ._. Oh my gosh little baby Waki and his mom and his 'Uncle' and... ...D:< NO RASAVYTH THAT'S A BAD KITTY. *spritzes* His ambitious nature and willingness to seek knowledge out himself is downright terrifying.

< It says something if Ghislaith thinks that someone else is creepy. And she thinks Rasavyth is. Hanging out on the lawn of her mind like that! XD
