| Some of the first Southerners to trickle in, by way of a blue dragon, are a pair of dark haired teenagers, who are quickly confirmed as siblings from the way they bicker with marked fondness and tolerance for one another. Dee and Jemizen are quick to settle in, and Dee, at least, is quick to get to work, coordinating with the farmcrafters who have arrived to avail themselves of Fort's dragons as transport to assist with restoration in the effected region and with the Weyr's own garden and the feeding grounds. Apprentices such as Dee don't get much say in their day-to-day tasks, but she seems willing enough to put her hands to work wherever she can help. The same can't really be said of Jem. Though able to work, he is rather lacking in the 'willing' department. But as he is in a new place, he is short of hiding places at the moment and thus is easily hunted down by the taskmasters of the caverns and set to work at jobs appropriate for his skill level (drudgery). |
