The inner caverns are a winding system of relatively well-lit tunnels and tubes, both natural and manmade, all composed of dark granite. Many are still a bit rough around the edges, save for those that are most frequently used. Small stone nooks and niches are perfect for keeping baskets of glows within easy reach. The caverns are generally swarming with activity, though people rarely linger; that's what the living cavern and the commons are for, after all.
The commons cavern is oriented just a turn away from the living cavern, with the crafter's workrooms located a fair bit further down another tube. The hot springs are located betwixt the two. The Leaking Cavern, while located in a rather out of the way locale, is easily found by following the sound of clinking glass and conversation. If one follows the tunnels straight through, they'll find the way out of the Weyr and to the road that leads to Fort Hold.

Late afternoon on the 3rd of the 11th month, T'rev comes down into the caverns, with a particular quarry in mind, eyes sharp as he looks this way and that, visibly searching. "Hey Porsit, have you seen Fiorella around?" he asks a passing resident.

The woman shakes her head. "Not recent. Ya check the stables?" she offers. Not too far off, however, the girl in question is sitting underneath a table tucked along one wall of the cavern. "Psst!" she whispers loudly, waving a hand to motion T'rev over just before he's on his way to continue his search.

"Thanks," T'rev says and starts to backtrack then pauses and peers under the table. "Well I'll be," he says with a laugh and without pre-amble gets down on his hands and knees and crawls under the table with Ella. "I've got news for you," T'rev announces once he's folded up and ducking so as not to hit his head.

Fiorella giggles. Well it's hard not to laugh at a grown man crawling under a table. "I could have come out T'rev." she grins. Though at the mention of 'news' the smile quickly turns to a frown. "News?" No, no, no. News is bad! "Berit sent you to take me home didn't she?" she asks, almost completely sure that's the case as she pouts tears welling up in her eyes in a blink. She -knew- it was coming.

"But you're under here," he answers her, T'rev's grin wide. "Whoa, whoa, calm down. Think th'opposite. Guess who's in charge of you now?" And he winks at the girl, waiting to see what she says.

"She doesn't like me and Sunni's not here and I didn't even get to go visit her before I have to go and now I'll never see her again cause she's gonna impress like Berit and they'll both be too busy and Leoren won't let me go visit them cause I ran away." Fiorella cries, throwing her head down on the man's knees as she goes through her long runon of dramatics. But then he's still talking and she turns her head to blink at him. "Opposite?" she asks, tears drying as quickly as they came as a grin creeps across her features. Ah yes, how the emotions of a child can change.

T'rev's hand drops to rub comfortingly along Fiorella's back gently. "Yeah, you don't gotta worry 'bout that no more, because uh - Berit put me in charge of you."

Fiorella's grin widens. "You?" she asks in disbelief, green eyes glinting with her contained excitement. "For really?? And I can stay here? Thankyou thankyouthankyou!" she squeals, wrapping arms around the man's neck in a tight hug. "I promise I'll try to stay out of trouble and I'll help you wash and oil Mecaith when he needs it and.. and.. well anything else I can." Yay!

"Yep, me," T'rev answers then oofs as Fiorella's arms fling around him and he does actually bump his head on the underside of the table. "Ow," he adds laughingly and hugs back. "Okay, yeah, do your best all right, because otherwise you know your sister, she'll be yellin' at me and all sorts," the bronzerider says, still good-humored. "And you're welcome t'help out any time, but you gotta go t'lessons n' do your chores n' mind your fosterer. I'll come and hang out with you as much as I can."

Fiorella nods vigorously, as she pulls back. "Sorry.." she wrinkles her nose as he hits his head. "I promise though, I'll be good. Berit's good at yelling and I don't want her to get mad at you." He got her to let her stay! "Lessons and chores and everything. She won't even know I'm here."

"Good girl," T'rev tells Fiorella proudly and takes a deep breath. "This'll be somethin' new for me, ain't never had to keep track of someone your age before full-time-like, sorta. Anyway, I figured we could go talk to th'Headwoman and the foster-moms and if there's someone you know and like already we can talk to them about settin' you up with her. How's that sound?"

Fiorella nods. "It isn't that hard. I can take care of myself mostly." she beams. Then again her saying its not hard, and actually doing it might very well be two completely different thing. After all she was at the hold and sure to have been watched when she ran off and came to the weyr. But then she shakes her head at the fosters, "I don't know any of them really."

"Yeah, you're a big girl and I did help take care of my sisters, so I ain't too worried," T'rev says confidently. "Just y'know, we might wanna keep th'poker playin' between you n' me, 'cos I don't think Berit'll think that's the kinda thing I oughta be teachin' you," he says conspiratorily. Another nod follows. "Well then, we should go talk to 'em and get to know 'em a little better. I might say 'this person' to start with if I think someone might be good, but you get to veto."

Fiorella giggles and nods. "No poker for Berit." she agrees. "And you know them better than I do at this point. I respect your opinion on them." she notes politely. "Just watch your head getting out.. The table hurts." She might be small enough yet to avoid it most of the time, but she's still caught it once or twice.

"Our secret," T'rev says very seriously, only his eyes are twinkling as he says it and a moment later he crawls back out from under the table and turns to hold a hand out for Fiorella, all gentlemanly-like. "M'lady, if you'd accompany me t'meet some people?"

Fiorella grins, taking the hand to stand up once she's crawled herself out from under the table. "Of course my good sir," she giggles, dipping into a curtsy once she's on her feet. "I'd be de.lighted."

This all makes T'rev laugh too and he actually sweps the girl a version of a courtly bow, then he squeezes her hand and does /not/ put it on his elbow, rather sticking to the friendlier hand hold as he leads the way off towards the headwoman's office first to deal with letting Kulen know that yes, Ella will be staying, yes keep her on the chore chart and yes, she'll need to be set up with a fosterer and yes, they're going to talk to fosterers right now. It's a little while later with the afternoon getting late indeed and almost supper time for that matter, that the pair emerge. "Y'know, Ella, I think I could eat a runner 'bout now. How's about we go get some dinner? Think you'll be okay with Elira to start out a least?"

Fiorella bobs her head, "I think so. She seems real nice. As long as she doesn't try to make me balance books on my head and walk across the caverns at dinner time we should be just fine." she giggles. "And I'm -starving-, so yes, dinner sounds excellent."

"Don't think anybody's going to do that /here/," T'rev says emphatically and grins widely. "All right then, guess we're all set for now and shells yeah, dinner awaits," he says gaily, leading onward to the living cavern and food.
