| It's been a few months, now, since Teris and Iskiveth were dispatched to Telgar - long enough for the queen to clutch her fourteen eggs, and long enough, finally, for those eggs to harden to hatching. On the ninth day of the first month of Turn 27, the formerly High Reachian queen's clutch hatched, giving Telgar a new queen as well as three bronzes, five greens, three blues and two browns. No doubt it will be a relief to young Prinavi, the new weyrling to gold Viyareth, that High Reaches has agreed to let the plains weyr keep their new queen; of course, it's not impossible that, one day, that debt will need to be repaid. It's not as though the leadership of High Reaches are known for having short memories. |
