Yizibeth wasn't shy about making her fawning interest in Rasavyth obvious once her sun-kissed hide started to glow even brighter than usual. She probably would have been incredibly disappointed for as long as memory held out if he'd not chased her, too. But, fortunately for both of them, he did. And now she's curled up, quite satisfied, against her bronze, too exhausted to stay conscious. Z'riah, similarly entwined with the bronze's rider, isn't so exhausted. But he is spent and content. Perhaps also smugly pleased with himself that he has, in fact, gotten K'zin naked despite the bronzerider's various relationships that would otherwise forbid him the pleasure.

Yizibeth's attention to him was distracting. That's not a good thing in Rasavyth's book, but her effusive warmth encouraged him to creep out from under his rock and stay out long enough to notice when she went to the feeding grounds and to follow. That K'zin was surprised to find himself in the flight weyr, overtaken by the familiar sense of Rasavyth as he has not been for so long would be putting it mildly. K'zin? He's an asshole as a chaser. Antagonizing other chasers, joking, leering, playful. He earns a black eye for it. And winning? There's no reservations. His arms are strong around the greenrider as the dragon effect begins to wear off. He's near dozing, himself his head pressed to the other man's shoulder and neck.

Z'riah is quite happy to stay there in the drowsy bronzerider's arms. It feels good. He feels good. "I swear I had nothing to do with this," he says after some minutes, or maybe more, have passed. He sounds amused, voice still low and lazy. "But I sort of wish I had. Is your face okay?" he asks the last as he starts to twist in K'zin's arms to face him, and lifts a hand to trace fingertips over the puffy beginnings of the bruise.

K'zin is unwilling, initially to loosen his embrace of the greenrider, and doesn't until he's made a possessive nip where neck meets shoulder. Then his arms relax enough to let the brunette shift around to face him. "It's-- hazard of the... thing." Words, he has some of them, but evidently not enough. "I've had worse. It'll be fine." Even if he winces when Z'riah touches it because it hurts.

Does it help that Z'riah seems to like being nipped? Especially possessively? But liking things isn't very unusual for him. Case in point, "I like it. It looks good on you." The greenrider tilts his head closer to try kissing whatever part of K'zin's face ends up available to him if not his lips. But at least he's not touching the bruise anymore. "I probably can't interest you in an encore, hmm?" He's basically respectful of relationships.

"Who doesn't like an encore?" K'zin answers, shifting his head to press a kiss to Z'riah's lips. Relationships? Is it possible that the flight has made him forget he has them?

"I knew I liked you for a reason," Z'riah practically purrs before he's trying to push K'zin back with every intention of climbing on top of him for another round.

K'zin has a laugh for either the greenrider's words or his subsequent actions or both. Round two may not be dragon-fueled, but there's still plenty of lusty energy that can be summoned up from some reserve.

When their encore has come to a close, the greenrider is panting against K'zin's shoulder, satisfied in that boneless, lazy sort of way. He's not going to want to move again for awhile.

K'zin's head turns to seek a kiss from Z'riah, but that's about all the energy he has left to do anything once they're finished and he's shortly sound asleep, as state in which he will remain for some hours before certain necessities make themselves known and he rouses and rises to take care of them. He returns to the bed to sit on its edge and rub at his eyes--er, eye as the other still proves tender, and then he looks back toward Z'riah.

When K'zin moves to see to nature, Z'riah rouses enough to open his eyes when the bronzerider sits back down on the edge of the bed. He smiles when K'zin looks back at him, but this much consciousness causes an involuntary need to stretch out all of his limbs before he can do much more. "I guess I can see why your people don't want to share you," is what he finally manages.

K'zin's laugh is rough in the way a voice just is when it hasn't been used in some hours. "Thanks, surprised your people do." He leans back on his hands then flops back so his hair brushes the blanket over Z'riah's thigh. "Shells, but it's been a long time," since winning a flight, presumably. Then something in his next thought has him frowning.

Z'riah's laugh is quiet, but genuine. "My people won't even admit to being my people." If he has feelings on that matter, they don't show right now. He's still smiling when he shifts onto his side, curling around slightly to watch K'zin without getting up. His smile fades slowly when the bronzerider starts frowning. "Not sure I like that face," he murmurs, mostly teasing.

"Sorry," probably for the face, though possibly for the partner(s) that haven't claimed the greenrider. "Nothing to do with you. You're great. It's just that... He hasn't chased since Iesaryth died. Not even Solith." K'zin shares, looking over at the other man. "I was hoping I wouldn't have to avoid home when the next gold starts going glowy." But now it seems he might well have to make an effort.

The greenrider listens, but his confusion is pretty plain on his face. "Why would you need to avoid home? You don't want him to chase the big ladies?" That idea doesn't entirely compute for Z'riah, like he's never met a bronzerider that's suggested such a thing in his life.

"No." He's met one now! K'zin is quite serious even. "It'd be better if he didn't. At least not until..." He trails off, closing his eyes a moment. "I don't know. Something's going on with him. I wouldn't want to pass anything weird onto eggs." His cheeks have flushed to a blush and now he's chewing his lower lip.

"Hey, man. It's okay." No judgment from Z'riah. "Maybe it's better that you know he might be interested now than when there's actually one of them rising, yeah?" Bright side! He reaches out to touch K'zin's arm, squeezing slightly. "If you want to talk about it, I'm not a bad ear. But I don't know much about all that stuff. Don't know if they pass things on the way runners and canines do, you know?"

"Yeah," to the bright side, and "yeah," to the rest. It's distracted. "'preciate the offer, but I'd probably better have a talk with Leova. She'll know." K'zin hopes. In the meantime, the bronzerider can shift around until he's next to the greenrider and pull a blanket over himself. It's not like this place is warm! "Just so you know, flights are freebies. For me and my people. I go back to being theirs when I leave this weyr." This is to say he's not a lousy cheating schmuck.

"I'm sure she would." Or, rather, Z'riah has no idea. So it's as good an answer as any. "That's a shame. But don't worry. I can keep my hands to myself. I'm even pretty good at taking direction." He flashes the bronzerider a smile, but since he hasn't left the weyr yet, the greenrider will cozy up comfortably and enjoy the company while he can.

"That makes two of us," K'zin says non-specifically, shifting a little closer since no one bothered build up the hearth and it's cold. "I'm gonna get a little more sleep before the bath and everything else," which sounds like an invitation for as much or as little of that that Z'riah would like to join him for, and then he does just that.

The greenrider flickers a smile at K'zin, then shifts around so he can play little spoon for the bronzerider. It just works better with the height difference. No doubt he'll still be there when the nap is over. No sense wasting a good opportunity.
