| Two turns. It had been more than two turns since she'd left the valley that sprawled below them. The valley she had once known every inch of like the back of her palm, now felt as alien as the red star. Her sisters had written of course, despite their brother's ban on correspondence after Edyis refusal to return. The beat of the green's wings drew her from her thoughts. "Let's go back." She called over the wind. "I changed my mind." The rider shrugged wordlessly before one, two, three wing beats and they were between before emerging overhead the iconic seven spires. Home. |
