RL Date: 18 November, 2014
Who: Cora, B'doran, Nimae, F'rain, M'lach, R'hin, Jadzia
Involves: Benden Weyr, Igen Weyr
Type: Update
What: Benden's eggs clutch early and poorly. Igen's leadership flight goes poorly due to Reachian meddling.
When: Day 20, Month 4, Turn 36 (Interval 10)

On the 20th of the fourth month, Benden Weyr awoke to a draconic 'cry' in the middle of the night (aka, incredibly early morning hours), and news raced through the Weyr that Elleth was on the sands clutching. So soon? Benden's Weyrleaders, without Elleth's help, have instated a ban on people in the galleries, though the ledges have a rotation of wings throughout the day, as if on guard. Only Cora and B'doran, along with a few of the more senior dragonhealers were on the sands on the first day, and by day's end, the three eggs that had been clutched look, for lack of a better term, droopy. Visitors, both Benden and foreign, are allowed only on the ledges furthest from the sands. The clutching will continue in this fashion, with Elleth unable to mask her mental pain to dragons in the nearby area, for three more (IC) days, and will result in a total clutch of 6 (first 3, second 0, third 2, fourth 1).

Later, that same day, gold Breilith of Igen Weyr rose. K'yan, as expected, was not at the Weyr (having gone on a week long excursion the moment the gold shows signs of being proddy) while M'lach was in attendance. What was surprising, however, was the altercation in the middle of the flight that distracted the pacifist Southern bronzerider from becoming Igen's new Weyrleader and has led to a temporary ban of Reachian riders at Igen Weyr while tempers cool. Nimae is said to be, mildly put, furious and Igen's new Weyrleader, a young bronzerider from Elleth's last clutch at Benden, is incurring scrutiny not only for his age but also for his dragon's, now suspect, lineage.

  • References to Reaches due to being made aware that there would be IC attempts to affect the outcome. If you have any questions in regards to these shenanigans, please speak with R'hin and Jadzia.
