Who: Dorbin, Cendon, Aughan, Astivan, Devaki, Joremy, Wulfan, Tristen, Wenzier, Iaos, Tevrane, Piershen, Giarnon, Xanemin, Jenilynn, Agaeor, Edeline
Involves: Igen Hold
Type: Update
What: Joremy is confirmed as Lord Igen.
Where: Igen Hold
When: Day 27, Month 11, Turn 36 (Interval 10)

Though lacking the unanimous support of the Conclave, a decisive majority voted to confirm Joremy as Igen's new Lord. Wulfan was seen outside chatting amiably enough with various members of the Conclave, and then was seen on dragonback, presumably headed towards Katz Field.

Among the sights to see and things that leaked:

  • Tillek did not vote with the majority at that point and was plain in their disapproval.
  • Lord Lemos, looking angry, storming out of the Conclave just as the last vote was taken. Those that have a good memory will recall that the former lady Igen is a first cousin of Lord Iaos.
  • Lord Bitra speaking to the new Igen Lord, smileless.
  • Lord Ista standing on the fringe looking to Wulfan. It's a look from Keroon that has Tristen backing away and leaving fairly quickly to catch up with Lord Lemos.

After the major dignitaries departed Igen, with the exception of Bitra's Steward, Lord Joremy addressed the Igen people for the first time since his brother's abdication. He was flanked by various minor holders of the area, who stood stalwartly by his side throughout (expressionless). His speech was brief, positive, alluded to some misdealings and mismanagement of the Hold (though all very politic of course), and ended with cheers from the common folk. The majority of the minor holdings have pledged their allegiance to the new Lord. It was later discovered that Bitra's old Steward is now Igen's new Steward, causing many tongues to clack.

While the number of guards at Igen Hold have declined, there is still a presence to be felt at the entrance to the Hold and on paths surrounding the cotholds just without the main Hold walls. Patrols have decreased, though the number of men called to guard duty have not been reduced.

OOC Voting was as follows:

  • Ayes: Benden, Bitra, Crom, High Reaches, Igen, Ista, Keroon, Nabol, Nerat, South Telgar, Southern Boll, Telgar
  • Nays: Fort, Lemos, Ruatha, Tillek

The vote is not public information, except what was leaked above.
