The End of a Marriage

By midday on the 17th day of Month 9 (such as these things are reckoned), word is spreading about the settlement like wildfire: the marriage between Tomaeran and Seani has been dissolved, and both parties have been set to hard labour as... punishment duty? For something? Tomaeran apparently swears complete innocence; Ani is saying very little whatsoever, but blushes and ducks her head whenever someone asks.
