Finally, nearly half way through month six, and with no new cases in the regions immediately surrounding it, Crom cautiously reopens its borders. Losses have been minimal; rumour has it the plague was aggressively contained, often in a way that showed no empathy. It was arguably a success, though, and the region now stands in a much better position than many around them. One death does stand out as notable, however: Lord Aughan's daughter, Haille, who someone managed to contract the illness despite all measures to protect her, and died partway through month five. Lady Ienavi is said to have claimed that her daughter was deliberately infected, and though many have dismissed this as simply grief, there has been some discussion about the possibility. Could someone have deliberately tried to kill off the Cromese ruling family? In any case, more than one person has commented that it least it was the daughter and not the son.
