Though cases of illness had come to the outlying Holds and passed through Ruatha region, the quarantine measures put in effect at the main Hold seemed to be relatively successful until day 17, month 4 when the drums sound to inform Pern that Lord Giarnon and his family along with a significant number within the Hold have begun to show signs of the illness. Ruatha Hold is not safe after all. |
