- Mave: Weyrbrat in personality, though she was originally born in a fishing hold near Keroon. She's mostly rough-and-tumble, and recently has aligned herself with the likes of Bones, the gardener, and weyrlings N'ky and K'zin. Her mother, a very tight-lipped woman unlike the usual caverns sort, fell ill in the last few months and mostly keeps to bed, where Mave has to make her take her after-meal medicine.
- L'hai: Rider of bronze Kolniveth, transfer from Ista Weyr. Before he Impressed, he was a tanner and he's fallen back into that pattern rather than involve himself in any drama around rider things. He and Kolniveth were not present for Hraedhyth's questionable leadership flight. He's definitely 'different', as residents have previously noted (or, you're less into being polite, 'he seems touched in the head'.)
