This large egg appears at first glance to be an even, scarlet red, but a second look reveals pinpoints of a light grey scattered about. It almost appears that the grey is beneath an imperfect layer of red, leaving speckles of the inner color showing through.

This egg is a little smaller than most dragon eggs, but not unusually small. Most of the egg is a smooth, indigo blue, like the waters of a deep, calm lake. One end of the egg, however fades from the blue to a pale shade of lavender, like the color of mountain wildflowers.

This large egg is a smooth slate grey, mottled with areas of a dark forest green. Or maybe it’s a green egg, mottled with areas of slate grey. It’s hard to tell, there seem to be almost equal amounts of both colors, and there is really no regular pattern. One thing is clear, though, this egg is bigger than most, although it is still smaller than a gold egg would be.

This large egg sparkles upon the sands, nearly overshadowing the other eggs nearby. Several different shades of gold and even a bit of silver color swirl in a chaotic blend over the surface of the shell. The colors almost seem to whirl like a dragon’s eye, and looking at the egg makes you a little dizzy.

This large egg is a smooth sandy brown color, somewhat darker than the sands below. Mixed in with the brown is a light rose color, patterned unevenly over the surface of the egg, giving it a marbled look. This appearance is reinforced by the illusion of depth, leading you to almost believe the egg is really a masterfully carved piece of rock.

This smallish egg is a deep warm maroon color, slightly darker here and there, almost in a rippled pattern. Marking the surface in a few places are irregular patches of light pink, as if the egg had faded only in those spots.

This small egg is primarily a crisp clear aquamarine color, rather like a clear pool of water. In harmony with this color are little splashes of light green, giving the egg a dappled look, almost like sunshine reflecting through wavelets on a tidal pool.

This egg stands out not only because of its rather large size, but also because of the vibrant colors on its surface. Primarily a rich violet, a bright yellow color is flecked across the shell, almost as if fresh paint was accidentally spattered on it.
