|log=From the outside, With the morning breakfast rush behind him, an exhausted Schuyler makes his way to the cave-in wall with a sack of food and some water skins. He nods a greeting to the Smith on duty and carefully picks his way towards the hole. "Hello? Anyone awake in there?" he asks, loud enough to be heard, but not yelling.

The night was a long one for anyone who was awake. Fortunately (unfortunately) for some, sleep was comprised by unvoluntary unconciousness, and with the oncoming of late-morning, finally eased and let up. Moments before Sky had arrived outside, the healer came to, startled, but quickly settled with a fit of coughing. Ugh, the dust. Coughing didn't do well with a painful chest. But the sound of a familiar voice outside distracted her. "'ey?" Voice hoarse and so quiet, she knows nobody could hear it. Oh the motion was slow. Painfully, agonizingly slow, but she forced herself to crawl the relatively short distance to sit near the hole of light. "S-Sky?" Still quiet, she can't get that loud. But she's closer.

From the outside, Schuyler grimaces at the sound of pain in her voice. "Keys? Is that you? You sound... hurt." he flounders with his inability to be helpful. "I...I brought food, water." he offers, trying to do ''something'', anything.

"Ironic, ey?" Keysi doesn't sound fearful, at least. She still is her neutral self. Stoic, to say the least. There's a rustling sound, audible with her much nearer, as she shifts herself to lean back against the rock wall. "I'll be. Alright." There's a pause at his offer. "Not sure I can reach." Short sentences seem to be necessary.

From the outside, Schuyler frowns and stares down at the bundle he brought. "So you are hurt then?" he looks around but it appears the medics haven't come back yet. "Did you get a chance to talk to the... wait, aren't you an apprentice to the medics?" he tries to peek through the hole. "Sharding hole is too long, don't think I can drop things through for you..." he adds.

"Wounds- can't see how bad." Keysi raises her hands in front of her face, trying to use the light from the hole but giving up. "Think ribs are broken." She won't mention the head thing. "Not sure about the others. Aye, but can't." In theory, she's implying she can't fix these particular wounds on herself.

From the outside, Schuyler curses under his breath. "Is there ''anything'' I can do?" he sighs. "I feel so useless out here. Until the smiths give word that it's sound apparently there's more risk to just breaking down the wall or digging you out until they assess."

"Someone will get it." Maybe, hopefully. She hasn't seen the others yet today since she's just roused. There's a long pause, probably as Keysi lets that realization sink in.. for the both of them. Just about when one would wonder if she'd lost conciousness again, there's finally a quiet response, "Be here."

From the outside, Schuyler's brow creases as the silence drags on and just as he's about to check that she's OK her quiet request is heard. "Key, of course. Hey, so let's talk about those eggs, huh? You had a chance to look at them yet?" change the subject, distract. On the job here.

Keysi lays her head back on the oh-so-comfy rocks, the throbbing relentless. Eyes close as she listens to his voice. "The eggs- surreal." She likes the change, and goes with it as if they're conversing over a meal. "Only once, really. You have favorites?" He's doing well, at least, for what he can do.

From the outside, Schuyler nods, even if she can't see. Maybe she can hear his head rattle? "I was passing by when the cave in happened. Only really got a good look once though. That gold egg is something. But really they're all amazing. What about you? Do you have a favorite?" keep her talking seems to be his mantra.

"You want to ride gold?" Keysi's dry humor is still present. He may not have been Searched, but time isn't up yet. Coughing follows, clipped by a harsh breath. "Sharding.." Cursing starts and then promptly fades, probably continued in muffled tones inaudible from beyond the hole. "Some." She finally responds, "Like the light and dark one." She's trying to remember the details, indicating the water wins out egg, or perhaps the dance egg, it's unsure by her terribly brief description. She should have spent more time in the gallaries.

From the outside, Schuyler lets out a tense laugh. "Didn't you know? I've always dreamed of being a gold rider." keeping it light, Sky. "Um, I don't know, there was one with purple I think that I rather liked. I'll have to go pick a favorite... maybe you can come with once you're... uh... better." oops, wrong direction there.

"Weyrwoman Sky." Keysi breathes, content with her current position and staying rigidly still, "You'd do well." - "Already try to care. For everyone." She listens. "Purple, eh. Think I remember that one." Consideration, "You're a resident." As if her direction with that is obvious, there's a pause when she realizes it probably isn't, "Should Stand."

From the outside, Schuyler chuckles a little. "At the wild women's weyr on the southern continent, right?" he jokes. "There was another one, with the colors all swirled together. I liked that one to." there's a long pause at the suggestion. "I've lived in the weyr my whole life. I figure if I'm meant to stand ''someone's'' dragon would have told them by now." he pauses again. "I have time anyways. Maybe I'll stand one day, just to see." a shrug which he forgets she can't see.

"Maybe." The healer's voice responds. "Or haven't noticed." In theory, she means the dragons. "Can't fit in the kitchens." In the dark, where nobody can see, there may be a hint of a grin at the thought of a dragon trying to fit in there. But it passes. "Hope so." Breath, "How many of each color?" Is asked, seeking his thoughts on the all-so-common bets to be made on what will arise from those eggs.

From the outside, Schuyler shrugs again. "I suppose that's possible too." sure, be logical. "I'd have someone build a kitchen in my weyr then, so this nonexistent dragon could fit." is the light reply. "Hmm, I know they're hoping for a good balance... certain to have a few bronzes in there at least with that gold. And there are enough out there to have a few good browns too. I'd say a few less greens this time around though." he pauses. "They need more candidates though... how are those quarters anyways?" he pries.

"That'd be interesting." Keysi muses quietly. "Least they would. Smell good." Considering his thoughts on the colors, she's quiet again a moment, or perhaps just giving herself a break. It's the days following an accident that are the most sore. "Was thinking many greens." Pause, "You want gossip?" Despite her neutral tone, she's amused by his question. "Many girls. But still sparse. Some drama."

From the outside, "Yeah, you think?" Sky questions. "I'd guess more blues than greens." a laugh. "I work in the kitchens, Keys. Gossip is currency there." a pause, "Why? You got something juicy to share?" inquiring bakers want to know.

"Not from me." Keysi obviously has ''something'' or perhaps many things that she's overheard, but apparently she's a closed book. "Tired." Is said offhandedly, her quiet voice fluctuating with drowsiness. "..Will you come back?" Sure all the masters are up there, but even they take breaks, and they don't ''know'' the ones in the dark.

From the outside, Schuyler shushes at her. "Yes, of course, rest. I'll leave the food here, hopefully someone will wake up to take it." he seems worried again. "Take care, Keys." he says, reaching towards the hole. "Get better." he adds softly.
