Body:	== Caught By The Sun Egg Egg == While shaped the same as any other egg, with a wide curve at the bottom and a narrower one about the top, this egg is patterned differently to most, shaded in what appear to be individual strands of red and gold and brown. It gleams: like a living entity, those shades seem to change from different angles, the warmth of those colors dancing in whatever light they can catch from the glows above. ''Finally the Caught By The Sun Egg tears fully open, a tangle of red and gold and brown about wet dark green and chartreuse; fragments cling to the dragonet’s still-damp hide as, with barely a brief bright-eyed glance to assess the other players, she bypasses even Bijedth to make her own gamble. She doesn’t have a lot of direction yet, though; a flutter from a candidate’s robe affects her path, or possibly even a handkerchief in the galleries that’s more sensed than seen, as well as voices raised or whispered.'' == All in Green Hatchling == She might seem all chartreuse claws and even sharper teeth, not only the spikes that adorn the little dark dragon’s webbed paws nor the hooked ridges that swoop down her spine, but the semblance of more equally-bright skewers along the trailing edges of each narrow wing and even the jutting joints of her hocks and fetlocks. Her shoulders are the bulkiest thing about her, though her eyes are large beneath sprawling eyeridges; perhaps the eeriest, however, is how all those illusionary and not-so-illusionary claws are tipped with the exact shade of ichor’s liquid green. == Temperament == Did you think that you’d be done with addiction? She’s your fiercest rush, your deepest, gut-twisting low; forget more madness, the only way to escape her is to die. Ziluyth also means a lot of changes; she’s a lot of hands-on work from eye-tending (or rather eyesocket-tending) to more traditional oiling and filing those talons that seem to grow even faster than the norm. She’s not as careful as perhaps she should be; if you leave a sweater on her couch, for example, it’s likely to get snagged. She’s a nosy green, interested in the world and its inhabitants, although she’s not exactly constant: one day she’ll make much of a weyrbrat (or a firelizard, or a clutchmate) and the next day ignore him or her entirely. Someday, she’ll make quite the Search dragon (in quantity though not necessarily quality) if you both live that long. In weyrlinghood, Ziluyth will have to adjust to depth perception that’s so much less than everyone else’s, and until then she’ll be prone to banging into things; perhaps because of that, she will investigate your mind and what you see (and smell, and feel) more often than some of her clutchmates do their riders, though that’s to augment her own senses instead of living through you. Forget privacy; you may be able to keep some things to yourself, or diminish their importance, but what’s hers is hers and what’s yours is hers, and that’s that. If Ziluyth gets information from other dragons too, so much the better, but they won’t replace you. Ziluyth respects draconic hierarchy, but that’s not necessarily the same as your hierarchy, or even as others would have it; it largely requires someone who ranks her to not only /notice/ but /keep paying attention/ and to be /clear/ as to what it is they want of her… or to convince her that that’s what she wants to do after all. Praise works wonders if she feels that they (or you) mean it; going through the motions never does. What Ziluyth does adore is dares. It’s not just a question of flying (when it’s time) to a marker first; it’s finding out who can get there with both eyes closed, or flying as close to another dragon as she can without both /actually/ crashing, and the like. It’s not necessarily a full-time endeavor; she’s apt to go about her day as casually as most other dragons, especially if there are sun, water and/or sweeps involved… but when impulse hits, it /does/, and no, you don’t get to be in control. When those dares fail, there might be moments of bemoaning your collective lot, but mostly she has a philosophical air to her: next time will be better. She may even work harder or try a different solution, or try to convince you to. (Perhaps that’s the air of an optimist, one who /needs/ it to be true.) When it comes time to join a wing, some questions may rise: what kind of wing will want her? What kind of wing will want /you/? If you’ve thought ahead, you’ll have found not only some worth but a way to make it show. If you haven’t… well, maybe it will work out anyway. Ziluyth may miss some of her clutchmates, but she’s likely to be glad to train with another set of dragons, and might even nudge you in a few Turns to switch wings yet again; she’s apt to invite her wingmates over to her ledge the same way she may have invited her clutchmates, and if that means you ‘get to’ socialize with their riders, so be it! When Ziluyth becomes proddy, you’ll feel that growing anticipation and dread right with her, so reminiscent of waiting for cards and dice and players to reveal themselves. Some hours (minutes, moments) you might feel the rush of a winning hand; others, you just know you’re going to lose it all. All that impulse to gamble from those days before you came to Fort Weyr and made that old new life for yourself? It’s there, hard and fierce, and you might wind up literally as well as figuratively losing your shirt even before she actually rises. When she does, Ziluyth is attracted to those who throw it all in with her, who’ll dare and risk and never ever play it safe. (Of course, that may not always be what she gets, because accidents happen.) In the end, playing the odds may have always gotten you into trouble, but Ziluyth’s is the /good kind/…. at least, in the end. == Public Impression Message == Finally! The All In Green Hatchling’s head turns, the twist of her neck awkward but her large eyes brilliantly certain as they seek a tall, lanky young man’s hazel; heedless of those about her, she shows her hand in a fast pivot towards him and his curly hair… and that’s when another dragonet slams into her, the pair going down in a tumble of claws. And /ichor/. And a shrill, prolonged shriek. == Private Impression Message == She’s looking your way. Not a girl but a dragon, /your/ dragon, two brilliant eyes that have just begun to veer from red towards blue when… suddenly another dragonet tumbles into her and, simultaneously, someone socks you in the eye. No, /stabs/, the pain is blinding, it’s your left eye and she’s screaming and maybe you are too, isn’t Impression supposed to feel /good/? It /does/ but it also hurts so much, it’s all messed up, and all you can say (scream) is her name, Ziluyth, Ziluyth, Ziluyth-Ziluyth-Ziluyth. You’ll learn later that it’s her eye that’s been damaged, irreparably, but will you ever be able to see again? == Mindvoice == There’s a lilt to Ziluyth’s low soprano voice, a feminine, expressive quality; with it comes a hint of percussive emphasis that further conveys her mood, that you might interpret as tiny cymbals or rattling dice or even the palm-against-palm of applause. Mostly she speaks, though also significant are the spaces between her words; imagery comes more when she has cause to relay a particular vision of might-be or will-be or has-been. == Dragon Inspirations == “A person needs a little madness, or else they never dare cut the rope and be free.” –Nikos Kazantzakis.
