== Fallen Foliage Green Hatchling ==
A leaf torn from its tree by a fierce autumn storm before its natural time to fall may not brown, but blacken; that black-green tone finds expression on the body of this young dragon. Deep, dull verdancy covers her from high-held head to restless tail, with little variation save for the faint vertical streaks of a darker color that mark her along the curve of her belly and across her narrow shoulders and flanks. Darkest of all is the shade that obscures muzzle, headknobs, and all her ridges alike–even that is green, but a shadowed green, from which all life and intensity seems to have been leeched. When she spreads her wings wide, their edges are shown to be marked by that selfsame color. Yet it’s on the sails of those overlarge wings that the murkiness finally breaks: rich, lustrous green lingers there, startling and vivid when compared to the rest of her.
