== Astounding Anulous Egg ==

Nearly perfectly round, this egg is of average size but hardly average make. The watery blue texture that spreads over half of the shell is at once inviting, intriguing and eerie. The color is cut abruptly off by a ring of stony grey with shadows of strange markings etched along the circle. The other side-- well, one might easily think it were buried in sand, but upon closer inspection, the second half of this bizarre but beautiful egg is a mimic of the sands themselves, as though one half were transparent enough to simply see the sandscape through it.

Regal is his raiment; an imposing illusion of elegance and importance is belied by his average build and slender musculature. His eyes are framed by the curl of phantom spectacles, but that's the only roundness to the dragon's soft-lined face. Plates of solid, smooth lapis lazuli lock across the blue's lithe bulk, as armor that is of him rather than on him. His belly's softer shade is subtle rather striking, but it's the more intricate for it, with wisps of indigo shadows that combining into symbols that might have been etched by some long-forgotten hand. Even his headknobs and nimble talons with their sheen of gold are not his most impressive feature. It's likely his iridescent, sun-catcher wings that capture the greatest attention with their segmented shifts of blue that carry strong undertones of first red, then turquoise, before a vivid true cerulean and on to the tips brushed with yellow-gold. His tail bears the same colors though in a different order, leaving inky crimson for the dexterous tip.

Izazeth is inspired by [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Jackson_(Stargate) Daniel Jackson], member of SG-1 from the television show Stargate SG-1.
His desc is mostly inspired by [http://media-cache-cd0.pinimg.com/236x/7f/98/a6/7f98a638d8c47db54ad46c4817d14946.jpg scarabs] and [http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs39/f/2008/315/c/1/Stone_Scarab_with_wings_by_1ShotAndree.jpg fancier depictions] of them.

The name Izazeth comes from the Galacian for learning: aprendizaxe. It was going to be Izaxeth, but Izazeth was more fun to say!

+It takes the Glyphed Guardian Blue ''forever'' to make his way over to the candidates, having been unable to resist the urge to stop and examine every talon mark and shell fragment in the sand along his way. Then once he's reached the white-robed forms, there's the matter of investigating ''them too'', in some cases thoroughly enough that at least one girl felt she ought to reach out and touch the blue - as that might help Impression occur. The blue, for his part, seems very nearly apologetic at her obvious want, the want he must disappoint by side-stepping two candidates to the left to look up at a dark blonde youth, the dragon's manner one of mild chagrin.
