== Velvety Midnight Sky Blue Hatchling ==
Deep in the sleepy hours of the night, Pern rests secure in the knowledge that the stars twinkling in the velvety sky above are watching over her. Immaculately consistent in its shade, his color is a perfectly even midnight blue. A spattering of starlight sweeps across his jawline and down his neck where it tapes into a swirl of mist. Each ridge from the top of his head to his tail seems to have its own constellation of tiny stars. On his hindquarters, another swirl of stardust runs from his flank to his knee where it gives way to the soft velvet blue that is his true color. And his wings, oh his wings! The universe itself could not hold so many pinpoints of light, paling in comparison to the glory that is his wings. Long of neck and limb, he’s sure to be an arrow in flight when he reaches maturity. For now, he’s a tangle of neck, limb, and tail that still needs to grow into his length. Glory aside, he is sure to dance amongst the stars with his lifemate.
