== Forgotten Manuscript Brown Hatchling ==
Hidden deep within a forgotten archive, untouched for turns and covered with the fine traceries of a spinner’s web, lies an ancient scroll — faded by the passage of time into a pale sepia-brown that is reflected in the colouring of this hatchling’s hide. An illusion of the cracked and dry appearance that such a manuscript might have, covers his flanks, the once well preserved creamy tones of precious paper are now a rich umber and taupe brown. Gossamer tendrils of faded charcoal entwine themselves around his neckridges and sweep down towards his tail where they conclude in a mass of spiralled patterns, radiating outwards from a single hub. Inky-black characters — once legible but now barely recognisable as letters — contour the magnificence of his wings, creating a semblance similar to that of a leaded glass window, the light shining through the translucent membranes. Deep ruby-reds caress his muzzle in what is a sharp contrast to the rest of his colouring — melting out over the vellum hide in a shade that is reminiscent of a wax seal long lost to the past.
