== Evergreen Cone Egg ==

This somewhat strangely shaped egg has a series of bumps and odd shaped mounds forming lateral rings around it. Upon slightly closer inspection you realize that the ridges are not quite so pronounced as the coloring has led you to believe. The light brown of the high relief gets somewhat darker as it sinks, making the tiered ridges seem much deeper than they actually are. At the tip of each bump is a small bit of brownish green.

''Tumbling from the shell in a compact ball, the various shadings of his hide give him the appearance of a little boulder rushing down a hillside. Landing with lithe flexibility, he bounds up and croons a loud greeting to the world. His wings unfurl, shaking off bits of shell and fluid before he darts off, seeing this, checking that, exploring with delight and wonder. ''

== Polished Jasper Brown ==

Polished, strong, and solid, his body is compact and yet hints at a power and size to come with future growth. A cascade of warm, woody brown is rippled through with other shades: lighter tan, sand, warm earth brown, and tinges of almost black. The elegant patterns draw your eyes, especially as the patterns flow along his back and surge over the unfurling wings. Splashed across his chest is a whirl that resembles a tumble of hillsides rising towards distant mountains. His eyes have an eager gleam as he explores his new world.
