''Thump. What a strange noise for the Purple Thing Egg to make Thump. There it is again, as if the dragonet inside was simply bumping up against the shell with a shoulder, or maybe butting with its head. Thump. The shell has baked hard over the months of sitting on the hot sands, but finally (Thump!) the egg rolls down a slight incline in the sands and shatters, tumbling a bronze dragonet out on his back with his feet waving in the air. '

== Puckish Playful Bronze ==

Bright, cheerfully whirling aqua eyes are always intent on his surroundings: curious, watchful, hopeful, and filled with mischief. There is more to this world than the eyes behold, as this little bronze dragon is quite aware–for he himself is a good example! Feline-lean, his body hasn’t the breadth, broadness, or bulk of most large dragons, but a lot more sinew and whipcord in his makeup. Narrow wings are as thin and delicate as foil, tending to flutter at the slightest breeze or excitement. His tail is as thin as a whip, and never motionless, even in his sleep. Long, graceful limbs suggest that he has strong odds for winning foot races against other bronzes. On a thin neck that arches like a swan’s, his head appears quite delicate of bone and painstakingly adorned by pearly headknobs. Subtle yet elegant ridges track along his spine from eyes to tail tip, as if brushed onto his hide by the painstaking precision of a master artist. Certain nights in certain lights, he seems more pale than anything else, and tends to stand out in the darkness as if offering a subdued, quiet glow in contrast to his gregarious nature. However, normally he appears a light shade of new bronze, a sort of metallic golden brown, as though more tin than copper was used in his firing. Faint streaks of silver form his ridges and help create the pearly effect on his headknobs. Sparkling silvery dust powders his wings and muzzle, emphasizing his sinuous and fragile-seeming lines.

The Puckish Playful Bronze sniffs several of the Candidates, spending a few moments nudging at one of the younger girls. He is inclined to stay with her, but a sharp bugle from his dam puts him back on track. There are other games to play anyway, lots of them. On the way to his next adventure, the dragonet pauses near one group of Candidates, among them a soft-spoken young man who blushes easily. The bronze gives him a good head-butt, and then deems him an acceptable playmate, crooning happily.
