Thick waves of smokey slate brown roll up from a blazing, almost red base making this hatchling’s hide seem to smolder and burn from within. Each rippling movement of muscle wraps the fiery tongues in seething mercurial patterns beneath his sinewy skin. More long than large, the sharp curves of his body arch like flames reaching from his sharply pointed muzzle to the narrow lash of his tail. He is not a solid, earthy brown but has more of a wildly rakish tilt to the angle of his tapering head, and a gleam in the spin of his jeweled eyes. A creature of the air even while on the ground, his wings reveal his true nature – taut, ethereal spans of grey-brown vapor fueled by the heat of his slender elemental red-brown form.
