So, how do you join High Reaches Weyr? It’s relatively simple (after you get the whole connecting to the game and creating a character down pat.

== Contacting Administrations in Real Time ==

You can contact any member of the administration team (as long as they are online at the time) by typing +rwho hrw. If you see K’del, Tiriana or Leova on, feel free to page any one of them by typing: p <name>=Hi! I’m new to the game and need some help or something similiar. For instance: p k’del=Hi! I’m new to the game and need some help. would show K’del that exact message and he will either get back to you or know who to contact to answer your question.

Alternatively, you can talk to the people on the New Player’s knot (type new .who to see who is currently connected); anyone on there with an area listed is an existing player there to help out.

== Character Concepts and Hooks ==

If you’d like some ideas for putting together a character concept for High Reaches Weyr, you might like to check out our [[Hooks]] page, which is regularly updated to suit what’s happening at the Weyr.

== Applying for Residency ==

Applying for residency at High Reaches is a one (big) step process:

:1) Give a summary of your character’s background. If from other than HRW, what is the ‘story’ behind your desire to move?
:2) Why do you want to live at HRW?
:3) What do you expect to get from HRW? What can HRW expect from you?
:4) Does your character have any specific skills, or is there a specific job you wish to be assigned (cook, nanny, stablehand, etc).

Then, answer those four questions. To answer those questions type (with the – and %r):

:-1) Character background summary.

:-%r%r2) I want to live at High Reaches because ICly, my character was born there. Or, I’ve heard it’s a fantastic place to get RP. ;) Figure out what you want to come play with us basically. :) And you can be totally honest: The website said to, or I’m interested in Search. You do not have to be from the Weyr to Impress at High Reaches.

:-%r%r3) I expect … (fill it in with your choice of what you expect of us, what you want to bring to our community, it’s basically your chance to bounce some potential ideas that we may actually be able to implement to make your time here awesome.)
