|log=It’s been just over a month since Elaruth rose in her unexpected flight, and those concerned about the senior queen failing to produce a clutch are being somewhat reassured by the fact that the little gold’s figure is slowly beginning to fill out. Riders have yet to be sent out on Search, leading some to believe that the Weyr is going to wait until there is a clutch (for real) this time, but as month 10 draws to a close, the ‘Candidates’ waiting for their white knots are informed that there’s going to be a condition to their moving back into the barracks. The invitation to Stand is, it’s said, still open, but anyone wishing to become a Candidate again is to discuss the reality of it with a rider, who will then report to the Headwoman and get names checked off the ‘old’ list. Gossip suggests that it’s to filter out troublemakers, or to stop people Standing /just/ because they can.
