 They've been in their own beds only one night. Drills somehow had a little bit of a different feel to K'zin that day. It seemed that some of the weyrlings were better rested, some not, and some still on the high of having a place of their own. K'zin was one of the latter. He was all smiles and grins and hard work at drills. Then there was extra exercising, bathing, and dinner to see to. K'zin didn't waste any time after dinner. He hurried off to the stores after bringing a small load of things up to his weyr with Ras' help. He's pretty well set on furniture, so it was mostly small things, and notably, painter drop-cloths. Now, K'zin is just inside the edge of the entrance, organizing his dragon-tending tools and tweaking the knickknack shelves, which currently seem to be designated as places for his various Smithly tools. Rasavyth is settled comfortably in one of the hollows, lazily watching his rider work with mostly lidded eyes.

 "Nah, I'm alright. I don't think I'll get the painting in tonight." Obviously, he's not in a hurry to deal with the murals. K'zin sets his mug on the table and then twists it with his fingertips. "You don't need to offer me something in return. Alida, we're friends. Friends help, without keeping score." Maybe she doesn't know since she hasn't had many. "But I would like some more help with the sparring, if you don't mind." There's a rumble from Rasavyth, and K'zin's standing up, "Oh, hey, I almost forgot. I've got a thing to do tonight down in the Craft Complex. Ras just reminded me." He pushes up out of his chair. It's the heralding of the end of their chat, the bronzerider waiting for the guard to down her tea or relinquish it before he walks with her to the ledge, shrugging into his coat, and allowing her to take off first before bronze is dropping away from the ledge.
