She felt that terror grip tightly in her chest; she could feel her heart pounding. The sensation of her heel striking against the hard, stone cobbled ground was so '''real.''' So was that rough touch of the too large hand catching her by the shoulder, spinning her around and throwing her down.

Sabella felt the scream catch in her throat and she shot up in her cot. Her hands came to her mouth, instinctively stuffing the terror down as she hurriedly glanced around. She was completely awake and in the dark of the barracks, the dead of the night.

She couldn't tell if she’d woken anyone else. Her heart was still racing and she felt the dampness on her cheeks. With a deep breath she wiped her palm against her face. There was a creak. And somewhere deep in her mind she felt the door slam, the lock slide into place and the terrible memory trapped there once more.

Then there was the soothing sensation of Ghislaith along the outer edges, fluttering like tattered curtains in a breeze. Sunlight was cast over her and it felt warm. She lay down again, letting the shakes ease out of her system. It wasn’t alright. But it wasn’t all wrong this time either.
