She hasn't missed the subject change, and there's a moment in which she cants her head and stares down at his hood, considering. With a soft sigh, she lets the subject drift away - for now. Instead, she reaches up to tug lightly at his hood to try to force him to meet her eyes. "Meet me in the classroom tonight, while you're not sleeping." There's a subtle 'or else' to the words. Before he can take the advantage from her, she's up and away, heading out of the barracks without looking back.

 Candidates are still forever being recruited, only days past did Dee's Jemizen join the barracks, bringing the number of Candidates past thirty with more still to come. 32 comes in the form of a bedraggled young woman, her muddy, worn clothing damp with the cold rain outside as she is escorted into the barracks and then abandoned by an assistant headwoman. Only the white knot that sits on her shoulder is new, and for all that Nasci must have come from further afield than the Weyr, she carries next to nothing with her. But her eyes are rimmed with red from crying, despite coming directly off Search, as she shivers and stands there, not taking further steps into the barracks to claim any part of it.

 "You're involved by knowing anything." Kaelige's voice is so low, the only way she could understand him would be to stay hovering over him in that.. particularly suggestive poise atop him. She may even need to bring her face closer to his for the remainder as well, "Trust is always blind." That, while probably not true, seems stalwart enough the way he says it that it's clearly his resolve on the subject. "Maybe." Is his final remark to her in regards to her demands, as if ensuring she knows that it will be by no effort of his own that they will.

+Eadgyd follows that voice against her better judgment, leaning in closer so each word can be heard. She matches him level for level, her voice equally low as she responds, "And that's why I know better than to trust anyone. Especially you." Her gaze sweeps up and down with this remark, surveying as much of him as she can from this awkward, too close position. "Not maybe. Yes." The words are firm, and there's a quirk of her eyebrow and a twist of her lips that hints at her certainty on this point. He may not wish to discuss it, but that knowing smirk says she's more than willing to corner him for information.
