|log=The news was spread by dragon first - Cadejoth's overload report reaching all of the High Reaches dragons, rather than his intended target - and spread rapidly from there: on the 20th day of Month 4, the fieldworkers at High Reaches' farmland dug up a family of skeletons whilst in the process of completing the tilling. Work was halted immediately, and at this point, it appears that it will not be continued until agreement as to what to do with these human remains is reached.

Less certain is the rumour that Lord Crom received word of the discovery before the weyr had even contacted him... and that Holder Browden has already registered an objection to any continued use of the land. This, of course, does rather beg the question of how they knew... is there a traitor amidst the weyr?

And what, then, of the weyr's investment in this field? Was it really doomed from the start?
