 There are reasons that Damaris typically works the late dinner shift and then overnight in the kitchen. The primary one would be that she gets to avoid mornings completely. It's not particularly early. It's not an hour where much of anyone is still sleepy. And yet. Eventually, the young woman is shoo'd out. Go. Get out. Dropping things tends to cause that. So does biting peoples' heads off. Whichever what way, the young woman has slunk out into the late morning sunshine, mug of something in her hand as she pads down towards the bowl floor. Squinting. It's pretty bright out here. What _is_ that thing in the _sky_, her expression clearly says. Even without an immediate audience, she's playing her expressions up. Drink from mug, exhaled sigh of relief. Please ignore the flicker of a smug smile that makes a Very Brief appearance. Eyes close, and she tilts her head up to the sky. Continues walking, of course. Because she's brilliant like that.
